Does people really Read the articles

Hi
I have one question in my mind.
How much of people read the article that we submit for SEO purpose?
If they read;then how much of them follow the author bio links with that article.
If the article is indexed in Google for one keyword;then people read it or leave the page as it is not a site?
I know that the article serves back-link for our site but I want to how much % people read the actual article.
I have submitted few articles at Ezine and getting very less traffic from the articles.
So is the article marketing is effective?
Thanks.

  • Of course people read it, why else would they search for it? If you are getting a bad click through rate, then maybe your articles aren't good enough or interesting enough to keep them interested. If you aren't a strong writer, you could try outsourcing and hire a quality writer and see how your click through rate is then.
  • It depends on the article and how you write it

A quick search on the warrior forum and you will find some great tips on improving your click thru rate (the rate at which people click your links)

There are some very clever tricks to get:

    1) people to look at your article in the first place (Hint: the Headline)
    and
    2) To get them to click the link to your site (Hint: a clever call to action in your resources box instead of the boring "mister blah blah blah is an expert author on blah blah blah)
  • Ezine articles accepted your articles for publication? Did you outsource the articles or did you write them yourself. There are some strategies that you can use to get people to actually read your articles, but ezine articles offers you some insight into how your articles are doing, number of "reads' number of articles used by ezine publishers, etc.

I am an avid reader of almost everything, so a well written article on a topic that I find interesting, I will read to the end. Can we read your article, perhaps we can offer you some insight or some help.
  • People absolutely do read the article--at least the beginning of it. After the first few sentences it becomes a matter of keeping people reading. If your article is not well written people will simply click away after a sentence or two (if they've made it past the title of course). If writing is not your strong suit, why not outsource the article creation and save your time for working on the other parts of your business?
  • Yep they do read them and like people have said ... how well the article is (or how patient the reader is) determines how much of it they read.

Article views and click-thru rates show that to be the case.
  • Like some of the others have said, people will absolutely read the entire article IF they find it interesting/informative. Figure that you probably have less than 30 seconds to grab their attention. If they like what they see, they're going to stick around. Most internet searchers want a quick answer or solution. If they think you can give it to them, they're going to read the entire article.
  • Yes people read, do you also have blog with your articles
I find this very good way to get people to your site and
coming back. With blog you can get it out so many more places.

    Take Care
