How do you know if you're being hacked into?

I have had a website up for almost a year now and have not received a single sale yet but I have had 1000s of visitors and many sales hops through clickbank but I'm wondering if someone is into my computer or sites and taking my sales, is that possible ? I have had several other sites with the same results maybe its just me but how can you tell? Is there a good tracker to determine this?

If you can see the hops being recorded in your clickbank stats then the visitor is coming via your link.

If someone else was getting the commission they would either have to change the link the visitor came through (which isn't happening otherwise you wouldn't see the hops) or they are selling to them afterward through a different link - which means that they are buying from elsewhere (if at all).

It looks like your leads just aren't converting so look at your pitch/presell page and/or product selection

There may be a problem with the merchant. I have heard that some clickbank merchants send the non affiliate link to their subscribers who came in originally through your traffic.

Install Statcounter (or another stats program) on your site. That way you can monitor exit link activity - ie, you can see how many people are clicking on your CB links and being sent to a CB product.

Then look at your stats in CB to see if the number of hops recorded agrees with the number of exit clicks recorded on Statcounter.

That should give you an idea of whether or not something is going seriously wrong.

Have you noticed any big drops in traffic? Have you clicked through to the links to make sure your affiliate ID is at the bottom of the checkout page?

Are you promoting products from a merchant that seems more interested in capturing an email rather than selling the product?
