Is there such a thing as PLR software?

There are PLR software i dont know any sites that catalogue them but i can point you in the direction of open source software which is basically software that allows you to do whatever you want with it and a good place to look is http://sourceforge.net/

Checkout resell rights ( Resell rights | Resell software ) by Jvw. You can buy the rebranded software or source code and then sell it as your own.

I have bought PLR software before. So, yes there is such thing. I own the source code and I can change and resell it. I got those from some firesales.

We're about to publish blog post on creating web applications using out the box scripts that require little extra to create a fully functioning app. I've previously used code canyon as the authors are quite design savvy, so the interfaces tend to be well put together (PHP, Javascript, ASP.NET and Java - CodeCanyon)

p.s. - check out some of the ready made Twitter Applications.

There are a multitude of software creators that will sell you PLR.

Some allow total customisation of the product, including altering the source code to make it entirely your own product, others allow complete alteration of the 'packaging' only, still others insist that you make only cosmetic changes to the 'packaging'.

Add to the above the different options available - total rights (including give away rights), RR only and/or MMR. Either of the last two may include in your license a minimum sales price that you must charge to you're customers (and forget the legislation that tells you that - you can sell things at any price - read the terms of your license).

Have you searched using Google or similar?

The PLR software comes at all price points and licenses, ranging from many hundreds of dollars a product, to monthly subscriptions for a PLR software product each month.

Each service has their own terms and conditions - so read them before you decide what is right for you.

I don't want to recommend providers to you, so I will re-iterate what I have said above. Carry out comprehensive searches, use due diligence and make an informed decision - but to answer your original question - yes there is such a thing as PLR software!

Just be sure that you know how to utilise it, before spending your money.

I once bought Gimp off of Ebay. It came on a cd. At the time, I didn't know Gimp was free and I was on the slowest dial up in the West. So...you could possibly find a market in people who cannot download anything large and would be happy to get a disc instead. Happy enough to pay something for it. Maybe, a combination of items on one disc?

Yes there is, it can even include the source code, so you can rebrand it and put your name in it. If you want PLR products, you can join A PLR membership site, you can find a lot PLR offer at WF, there is also a WF member that listed PLR membership here.

That's for all the replies guys.

Most of what I see is IM related.

I'm trying to find something more related to those losing weight, or wanting to count calories, or a meal planner, etc. Along those lines.

I can't seem to find anything PLR in that category.

There are OS options, though.

If you can decide exactly what you want you may be able to hire someone to program it for you for a reasonable cost. You might try putting your ideas and requirements down in writing and then go to a site like Odesk or Rentacoder and put it up for bid and what you get.

If you do that, use Google to get some advice about hiring a programmer, there are some precautions you should take.

  Open source is good to sell but you suppose to supply the source code. You can't sell the software but it is rather providing a service but providing it on cd send to the buyer.
