    1. Click the yellow picture of mountains and enter the URL of your image.

    Example: http://www.darklock.com/images/checkblock.png

    2. Highlight this image by pressing the SHIFT key and pressing the left arrow once.

    3. Click the picture of the centered text under the font drop-down box, to center your image in the post.

    4. Click the picture of the globe next to the chain and enter the URL of your link.

    Example: http://www.darklock.com/images/crystalpepsi.jpg

The image will appear with an outline in the edit window, but it will not have one on the final post.

Following these steps with the example URLs gives you this checkbox button, and when you click it, you will see a picture of the now-discontinued product Crystal Pepsi (which I dearly loved and truly miss).

Simply swap in your own URLs, and you too can put linked images in your posts, in the WSO forum or anywhere else.

I seem to remember that someone posted that you should use the email link provided by Paypal. Add that to your hosted image as per CDarklock.

Maybe someone who really knows how to do it will post better instructions than I just did!

        Getting the PayPal link:

Go to your PayPal account and login. Select "Merchant Services" up top.

Select "Buy Now Button" in the merchant services area.

Fill out the form in the button generator.

Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom. (You should use your secure merchant ID rather than your email address.)

As Rosetree already said, you should use the Email version of the link. So click the "Email" tab.

At the bottom of the window, click the "Select Code" button.

Right-click the selected link and click "Copy" on the context menu.

Paste this into the dialog box for the URL of your link in step 4 of my original instructions.

      Here's what I do:

It's really easy, and uses BB code and the email version of your PayPal
      payment button code.

In order to create your link, just type this:

Where it says in RED "YourPayPalButtonEmailCodeHere" just insert your
PayPal Button email code, the one that you get after you made your button and
click on the email as pictured in CDarklock's post above.

And where it says in BLUE "CLICK HERE" you insert the text you want
      on the button.

To make the link bold and bigger, you can just highlight the whole thing and click
on B to make it bold, and/or select the size you want to make it bigger.

      I hope this is helpful.
