What's the best to track links in your opinion?

There is no reliable way.

  Hit the nail on the head. Yahoo's site explorer is also free and quick: Site Explorer - Search Results

  no reliable way? i was going to use budurl...but if their server goes down then i would lose traffic right?

I use advanced web ranking, IBP and a few others sometimes, but more often than not I just find myself typing in the proper query into google advanced search.
