Help Pls: Adding "Share This" on twitter & facebook links inside EMAIL (not webpage)

I want to add a twitter and facebook "share this" links in html emails that I send out through Aweber to my lists.

So "Share This On Facebook" & "Share This On Twitter" would be click-able links that POP UP a browser window with the tweet filled out for twitter and on facebook at link to my email online.

Very similar to what Social Media News and Web Tips ? Mashable ? The Social Media Guide uses and just about every other blog out there... but I want to create a link in my emails that does the same.

Possible? Anyone know where to find answer?

Thanks!

Um... yeah. That's what links do. They pop up a browser window.

You can put whatever you want in that browser window.

Not really seeing the problem here.

When they click on the link, how do I make it to the post and link are already entered in for my prospect.

      Ex.
      In Twitter:
RT @paulmartinelli "Live, Laugh, Learn" Thought of the day.

      In Facebook:
"Live, Laugh, Learn" Thought of the day. www.paulmartinelli.com coming soon!

When i go to Mashable and click re-tweet, the tweet is automatically filled in for me.

      Thanks!

I'm still not getting the problem. Twitter and Facebook have well-documented APIs. The link in your email is... a link. It can go to any web page you want. That web page can have any code you like on it. Why does email in particular present a problem?

I think understand what you're saying. There was another thread about this a few months ago that people were confused about: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ws-really.html

CDarklock I think the point is that he doesn't want to create a link to Twitter per se but a link that automatically tweets something. I don't think the OP understands the API bit.

In any event, here's the link that explains the code: Email Buttons | Tweetmeme Help

maybe he wants the content of the email to be shared, not a webpage?
i don't think it is possible if that's the case..

OK this worked for the most part, but it does not put in the text from my email automatically for them. They would have to manually write the quote I want them to be able to share.

Now going to try link from fitz10 for twitter. Thanks!
