Got to love the Internet - YouTube cheaters

So I have been exploring VSEO (video search engine optimization) to find out what it takes to rank highly on the video sites (YouTube in particular).

YouTube takes a number of factors into consideration when ranking a video. Some of them are (in no particular order):

title
description
tags
views
ratings
playlist additions
flagging
embeds
shares
comments
age of video
channel views
subscribers
inbound links to video (your backlinks)

From the list above it is clear that YouTube adds a lot of weight to the community factor. If you don't engage, you won't be rewarded.

To have all the above elements in place will no doubt take time. It also means that you have to create great and valuable content.

Enter the lazy aged "I want it now" crowed. I came across several sites where people are selling YouTube accounts for $0.30 each (must take 100 at a time). So there are people who use proxies all day to create these accounts and people are buying them all day long.

Imagine the nightmare to use different proxies to log into 100 different accounts to make sure your video gets all the "communitie factors" in place to rank highly. Sure, it can be done, but like someone on here once said "Why climb a tall tree to tell a lie when you can stay on the ground and tell the truth?"

PS. For the newbies, don't go running to the freelance sites and making these types of offers. For the same amount of time and effort, you could be building a real business.

Youtube is not all that hard to rank for. You have to have good keywords and a strong presentation. I do agree about having more than one account so you don't find all your hard work wasted.

It sounds like you know all the things needed to do it successfully. I also think that community engagement is a good thing. I mean, it can only help. I had a video that was on the second page page for my keyword and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to move. So, I just continued to get back links to it by leaving a comment with a link on other high PR video channels and before I knew it, it was on page one. It had a ton of comments and ended up being my most profitable video that brought in about $50 a day on it's own. Then, they took the CPA offer down. No worries, though! It wasn't my only egg!

    Good luck!

i think that you also need the first to post a video on particular topic. all the other copy cat videos will not make it to the top spot
