Keyphrases and special characters (brackets)

I want to target the keyphrase keyword1 keyword2, but using the phrase keyword1 keyword2 in titles and content sounds/reads strange.

What do you think? Do the phrases "keyword1 keyword2" and "keyword1 (keyword2)" look the same to spiders?

What about ending a sentence with keyword1 and starting the next sentence with keyword2 ("... keyword1. keyword2 ...").

Regards,
Michael

There are several places on a page where you can put targeted keywords, so you can combine. Put keyword 1 in page title, heading2, lists and put keyword2 in heading1, headin3, links...

I don't think that you can rank for the phrase "keyword1 keyword2" if the google bot doesn't find this exact phrase on your page somewhere (depending on the competition, of course).
