Different pen names for Squidoo lenses?

Is it neccesary to create squidoo lenses with different pen names.

I have a lens that promotes a money making product, but If the visistors click on my profile they will see my other lenses with other categories which is a bit of into selling and not as personal as my money lens, they dont have the same "tone" of voice as my other lenses.

Should I create a new squidoo account for my money lens, if I do, how do I solve the problem with pictures, I mean Its not a good idea to show someones elses picture right, I should not have to resort to those cheap tactics right?

How do you usually do with these matters?

Sincerely
Karl

It's my understanding that you can setup as many Squid
accounts as you want and my thoughts are that it's best
to keep unrelated lenses separate. I have seen some lens
masters with a list of topics that don't belong together at
all and I think that it's unprofessional. Plus it diverts your
competition if you maintain separate accounts for your
    various niches.

As to your profile image - if you do not wish to use your
same image then don't use any pic at all or else use a
different pic of yourself posing different or incognito.

    Go to GlamourShots or something

I think a lot of people do have different accounts on Squidoo to promote different products. This way it also deters people from learning about every single one of your campaigns

Yup...you definitely want to create separate accounts. If you lump everything together, it is likely that someone looking for niches can find not only some good ideas but also follow the links to most of your websites (since most IMers tend to funnel traffic) and how you get your backlinks.

I personally stick to one account, but that's because I find it easier to manage them all through a single dashboard. I am wondering if I would do better if I split off some of my lenses into their own niche specific accounts though.

Here's what Tiffany Dow said about pen names... she makes some good points.

  • I stick to one account myself. Works the best for me
