Outsourcing - Bestjobs.ph Open Again

Hey Warriors.

Just a FYI for those who outsource and could not access bestjobs.ph

They have now opened there doors again for people outside the Philipines to join.

This is where I go for my hires first, I LOVE the website. I suggest to go fast because people realize its open and good quality people and better salary are gone.

    Thanks for that great info. Welcome back bestjobs. However, if you can't hire someone at bestjobs there are few websites though to hire writers and VA's:

    Good to know. I have been registered with them for 2 years, but my last 2 posts they rejected although they were 100% legitimate and met their T&C's as far as I can tell.

    I've since used onlinejobs.ph and have to say that they level of skill specific information it provides by comparison is a lot better than bestjobs.ph - the only downside is the $47 a month cost (which I just forgot to cancel and got rebilled).

    I went there some time back and got the closed to my country message. I couldn't for the life of me understand why they would be closed to the US but it turned me off to the site, so now it's like ... meh ... so what? Plenty of outsourcing sites around that didn't turn me away.

      As I understand it from thorough reading throughout Warrior Forum.. BestJobs.ph are among the best place to find good high quality candidates. But this is still a subjective matter.. you could very well encounter the worse of them all in BestJobs.ph while finding a better ones other places.

      But if you are looking for a new outsourcer it won't hurt to have a look there.

        " The following types of adverts are prohibited:
        Work from home jobs."

        Yet "work from home" desired is clearly listed when browsing resumes?

          What they mean is that you can't post *adverts* trying to sell your "work from home" stuff or linking to some stuff for them to buy that would get you affiliate commissions.
          They want you to post real jobs. You are not allowed to sell them stuff.

              Hi Brian, that really depends on your goals and what you would like to achieve (I got a WSO that may help you on outsourcing). I have tried both and in most cases I am in favor of a job over a contract, but again it depends on your goals and how much work you have.

    I see that onlinejobs.ph has some mentions of replacemyself.com which is a John Jonas site. With links to articles on his site and also sending finders fees to replacemyself.com. If you use the prefound $350 (finders fee) or pretested $800 (finders fee) or the Done For You option at $800 for each person they recruit for you. So I guess this is one of his sites too. I didn't see the $47 a month fee "REW72" mentions. Is that hidden or am I blind.

    I noticed you can list yourself as an employer for free at bestjobs.ph which allows prospective people looking for work find jobs your listing. If you want to be able to search resumes there is a fee of 3 months - 5000 pesos or about $110 USD. So should the need arise I signed up at bestjobs.ph

    I have listened to John Jonas talking about replacemyself.com and that the only way you could access bestjobs.ph at the time was if you signed up at replacemyself.com. As if it was the prime source or you could go to onlinejobs.ph if you didn't want to join replacemyself.com. The replacemyself.com option is more expensive monthly but it does have additional stuff. Some kind of project management software and drip feed training videos for your employees which I believe he let's you choose one task from a list each month. I decided I'd remember his site as an option and bookmarked it but didn't feel it was what I wanted when I was looking.

      Here is some helpful info:
      • BestJobs.ph has a fee per 3 months, as you said.
      • John Jonas owns OnlineJobs.ph, a competing site, which I personally find better because of the way it targets skills rather than resumes.
      • Members of "Replace Myself" get access to BOTH job sites included in their monthly fee.
      • There is an upsell on Replace Myself that gives you perpetual access with no recurring fees ever again - that's what I bought.
      • OnlineJobs.ph is innovating. BestJobs is not. For example they are now allowing job seekers to upload videos of themselves.
      • OnlineJobs.ph is free to register, however if you want contact information you have to pay (again, unless you join Replace Myself).

    Been outsourcing my work to my fellow countrymen for over 2 years now and it took me another year to figure out I was sitting in a gold mine!

    Just a few tips you need to remember.: This will separate success from failures in outsourcing.

    1.) Make sure you ask for sample works 2-3 days before hiring someone on a monthly basis.

    2.) Avoid burnouts - Wonder why so many people are left by VA's?

    3.) Pay in local currency - Its a lot cheaper that way. You will be saving up to 40%.

    4.) Hire only experienced ones.

      That's right.

      3 months - 5000 pesos
      6 months - 10000 pesos
      12 months - 20000 pesos
      Once you're registered and logged in, you'll be immediately eligible to choose the level of service.

      From my experience, I've never needed 3 months to hire a great team member. One month is more than enough. As an alternative, you can sign up for OnlineJobs.ph - that's what I did. They charge $49/mo or $105 for 3 months.

      There're no such options for bestjobs.ph.

    Sounds like it would be a good idea to split a membership with someone looking to outsource here. 3 people at 110 = 36 each for 3 months. Not bad. Let me know if anyone wants to do this today or this week.

    The following types of adverts are prohibited:

    So, no advertising for virtual assistants, according to this. Else you risk your account being closed and losing your paid money.

      I can only share my experience which is have I have hired numerous employee over the last several years from Bestjobs.ph. If you are not happy with what they are saying or posting on it, then I am sure there are other good sites (which I dont have experience with).

        Here is my experience as of today.

        I had a deactivated job listing that was published on bestjobs.ph in summer. In July I hired an outsourcer, so I deactivated it. Now I am looking for another person, so I tried to activate the job listing.

        No luck. It went from 'Unreviewed' to 'Deactivated' every time I tried to submit it.

        Then I emailed them asking for directions. Their answer was that 'home based jobs are prohibited by our advertising rules', followed by 5 paragraphs describing benefits of their paid service.

        I also browsed recently published listings, and I could not find much difference between these listings and mine.

        I am wondering now how Mukul and others got their listings published. I an also checking out onlinejobs.ph

          I just hired another 2 in the last month and helped a few outsource guide students hire another 3-4 from Best Jobs. I dont know what the issue is or I would help you.
