Exactly how I get my sites indexed in less than 8 hours

Hey everyone,

I thought I share a powerful tactic I've been using to get my niche affiliate sites indexed very quickly. I haven't seen this being talked about anywhere before hopefully this is something new to you guys.

Anyways, getting websites indexed these days is trickier than it used to be simply because the internet is filled up with way too much crap and search engines are a lot more cautious about which pages they're letting into their databases. Sometimes, you can put up a site for days or weeks without it appearing in the SERPS at all.

So lets think about this for a bit: what must happen before a search engine can include a site into its index? The answer: The site has to be crawled by the search engine's robots (or spiders). How do we convince spiders to visit our sites? Most of the time, we do social bookmarking, submitting articles, pinging etc. But everyone uses these techniques and they're not nearly as effective as they used to be.

Alright. So what do I do if I want Googlebot to knock on my door? Simple. Go straight to the source and ask!

Here's what I do:

1. Go to the Google Adwords keywords tool and select "Generate keyword ideas from Website content"
2. Check "Include other pages on my site linked from this URL"

First couple of times it returns keywords based on the domain name

After a few hits it returns keywords relating to the actual content of the site

This wakes up Googlebot and forces them to crawl your website - Much more so than pinging or bookmarking.

Within minutes, google hits nearly every page linked from the home page. Now to be sure, there's a distinction between the adwords keyword bot and the actual site crawler... BUT I BET google keeps the domain cached for spidering by the real google bot)

Typically, using this technique I can get my sites indexed overnight, if not faster. Check it out, and see for yourselves!

Just an FYI, while I believe this is very certainly worth using because you should try to find every opportunity, I have been told that there is a wide separation between the AdWords keyword bot and the regular Googlebot and that there is no sharing of data between them.

That's from a pretty good source.

Well, he said he bets Google keeps the URL for indexing by the regular Googlebot. I've been told, directly by someone who should know, that the two are completely separated and the data not shared (so I would infer that the URL is not sent to the regular Googlebot). But like I said, folks should always try all the legal and ethical means they can to aid their efforts.

I find that a little difficult to believe. After all, Google is a data aggregator in essence. Google wants to know EVERYTHING. For one part of Google to know something and deny it to another part of Google seems...a little ridiculous, at best.

I agree. Plus, I don't trust Google to be honest anyway. If they can lie, get away with it, and get a decent benefit out of it, they will.

Only by submitting to digg or whatever will get you site indexed. If you are listed or not in the SERPs, that depends on your site's content/domain name/seo/etc.

Usually, if you simply ping or digg, bots will come in less than 2 hours.

BTW, I created a blog on blogger few days ago and it got indexed in few minutes!!

hi. i've also found that if you write some written content on a social networking site and submit it to Digg, Mixx, Subbmitt, swik and LinksMarker that written content will be on page one of google within one hour - honestly.. thanks for your original info. great stuff

      Thanks for the idea, Sideserver.

I've had a site registered for nearly a year. I have five pages on it. Yahoo finds it but google brings up registeredlookup.com, where it's shown with other sites that were registered at about the same time. I will get all the pages linked properly from the home page - at present, only the link to one page works - and then try this to see if google will find it. I never intended having the pages linked to each other - not sure why now - I only wanted them linked from the home page.

I'll report back here a couple of days after using the suggested method.

FYI, I wanted to test this with a new undeveloped domain. On the 21st I put up some keyword dense content and submitted it to the Google Keyword Tool, but to date the regular Googlebot has not indexed the site.

I'll let you know if it does.

As far as getting sites indexed quickly, a submission to Digg has always done it just about as quickly as anything else.
