Article experts - advice sought

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi Warriors,

I've been writing and publishing articles for a looong time now and I take it for granted most of the time. I have various tools and services that I use without much thought when it comes to spreading them and publishing them for myself.

However, I've been getting offline clients recently who are writing industry articles, sometimes alone and sometimes in partnership with other companies.

Obviously I'd like to help them get the maximum distribution for their articles for several reasons.

What I'm looking for advice on is this.....

What is your best advice regarding getting this content published considering - 1) I'm not the author 2) I'm not looking to 'spin' this content - literally just get it the best distribution possible and get some links back to their sites with it.

I know a few people here are heavily focused on article marketing and must have come across this situation before and created a decent strategy so I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance to any kind soul that offers their advice.

PRWeb.com comes to mind - most of the content that I've seen distributed there reads closer to industry articles than traditional press releases.

  I agree with Sarah - press release distribution would be a good way to get them in front of the right people. You might need to massage the articles a little to get them accepted as a press release, though.
  
  The other thing you might want to look at is getting them published in trade magazines and/or on those magazines' websites. I can't speak for every industry, but I read industry magazines in a couple of markets. Most of them have web versions of the magazine, and either cross post the articles or have articles that are strictly online.
  
  Those kind of sites are highly targeted to the market, so while it would take a little more effort than just blasting them out to the usual article directories, the backlinks would be more on-topic.

You can submit other author's work on your Ezine account.
With their permission, of course.

  I would recommend just opening up new accounts for them at the article directories that your accustomed to, ask them to provide you the information to fill in their profile and bio information, and then submit their articles to the directories. Or less it's against the article directory tos to have multiple accounts under the same ip, I think that this is a practical solution.

Thanks guys.

We've been doing regular press releases - but only for press related stuff.

I'm not really inclined to push through articles as press releases.

As for EZA, I've done what I can as far as publishing them with correct author info but for some reason not considered opening extra accounts for when that makes sense.

You might want to consider Web 2.0 properties like Hubpages and such. Its easy to set up an account for each client and as long as you are regularly publishing hubs the links are good.

  Hi Andy,
  I have the same challenge with my offline clients.
  I have about 50 websites of my own with WordPress Thesis theme on them and I syndicate the articles out there. I know some people say you have to be on different IP's but I get the backlink.
  I also have about 25 Blogger Blogs and free WP blogs. I know people say Blogger doesn't like you pointing back somewhere but my articles are informative and I have ONLY 1 anchor text backlink at the very end of the article pointing back to their page or blog.
  I also use a syndication system from a WSO, but that one does ask you to spin the articles so they are unique to each blog, it's 250 blogs tho.

  PS. Allen Graves has a directory "system" with several directories, you post to one and it can end up on several. I've been a member of his Article Directory for over a year now and it's very good.

Andy,
I believe I have a distribution list that is geared for this type of requirement at my house. I won't be home for several hours (i'll be out celebrating my 41st B-Day) but when I get back I'll scan the article marketing resources and archives file I keep on my hard drive to see if I can locate the information and I'll post it here.
