The answer depends on a lot of information that isn't given...

    > What market are you talking about? Business-to-business, business-to-consumer, opportunity seekers, something else?

    > What type of product? Information product, physical product, live coaching or instruction, or something else?

    > What do you mean by "high ticket"? For some, that means over $100, some $2,000 and for some it means six or seven figures.

    > Are you asking as the product owner or as a sales rep (affiliate)?

More questions and no answers, I know. But to craft a real marketing strategy, you have to nail down what your target is and what they can be expected to do.

For example, selling an opportunity seeker or would-be Internet marketer a $2,000 course could be an impulse buy in the heat of a big launch. Your strategy would be to hone their desire and tip them on launch day.

On the other hand, selling a complicated computer system to a Fortune 500 company is likely to be a long, multi-level process requiring multiple people and multiple approvals. That would call for a much different strategy, obviously...

Having a mailing list or a number or readers that follow you because they trust you is, I think, the better way to sell high price products.
If you don't have these followers, what will make your prospects buy the product will not be, in my opinon, the marketing method you are using, but the content you are using to sell.
Try to build some trust by creating a well designed site and writting a good copy. I understand you are selling the products as an affiliate, right?. Build a site with some valuable information related with the product so that you can get the attention of the prospects, then pre-sell them the product you are promoting, make them feel they need it.
Hight price product are not bought by impulse, at least most of the time. So, many techniques that work for low-price products may not work here.
