Hi,

I am just starting to build a couple of Amazon Niche Store Websites and have am playing around with a couple different ways of doing it. What I am looking for is someone, who has done this approach to perhaps IM me and give some pointers.

I know there is alot to learn and am really excited about the possibilities of the niche store model. At the same time, having someone who has been there/done that, would be awesome just bounce ideas off of if nothing else. I couldn't pay anything at the moment but would be totally willing to share any income from the couple of sites I am trying to get up and running.

If anyone is interested in giving some pointers/advice/critique/etc... Please send me a PM. I really look forward to to the possibilities.

Thanks,
JC

  • Are the two sites in your sig the stores you are talking about?

If so, I admit you've done a nice job of setting them up, they look nice. Is that your first time?

First af all. Your sites look very nice and clean.

I would, however, change a little the design of the store, it doesn't invite to buy.
    - Use aStore, instead of widgets. You will be able to customize it a lot more.
    - Make it in a single page, with not sidebar. It looks more professional.
    - Set different categories to show the objects more organized.

You can check this site to see what I mean www.bee-beekeeping.com

@Wechito Thanks for the feedback and example. Nice concise site In my opinion. I will have to implement that into my too sites in the sig file. However, the two sites I am currently working on and total amazon niche sites meaning not alot of content. campingkitchenstore dot com is one of them. If you have any advice on that one, please let me know. It is still in progress of being set up and does not have much on it yet.

    Thanks

I have never made a totaly Amazon based site, so I don't really have a lot to say here.
I would change the header of the page dispayed when you click at the categories on the left side bar. You don't want it to say "archive for..."
Why don't you set up different categories for content post, such as recipes, and product posts. I mean something like:
      CATEGORY 1: RECIPES
" 2: CAMPING UTENSILS, or whatever,
      - Cookware
      - Dried Food
      ....

If you want a complete Amazon store site you could do something like this Cycling Store Online this is a site I created for one of my customers a while back. I've done a few in this style with the Amazon astore on the home page.

a Very important aspect in my niche amazon sites is a vertical banner on my side bar. gets tons clicks and still get a 7-6 amazon conversion rate

Does anybody make a full income as an Amazon affiliate? Their commission rate is
such minimal and you got to have literally hundreds of blogs or sites to make a
    decent income..
