Are Exit Pop ups hurting my SERP?

INTERNET MARKETING

I installed a simple exit pop up (Opt In) about a week ago on 15 of my landing pages. Im now starting to see my SERP decline.

Would using an exit pop up negativly effect my rankings?

they aren't allowed in adwords at least because they are "bad user experience"

Why no pop-ups? - Inside AdWords

I'm guessing natural ranking thinks the same about them?
