How to Efficiently Find New Products to Promote?

I'm looking for a new product to promote. I've spent all day searching online for niches and I feel like I haven't gotten that far along, and also I feel like I'm not sure if the ones I'm finding are the type that I should really be getting into.

I'm trying to find niches that aren't completely deluged by marketers, such as real physical products on commission junction, or better yet home-run affiliate programs with not as much competition.

Anybody have a good method for searching around for these types of items? I'm eager to get on to actually creating the sites...

      Go into Clickbank or any Affiliate product site.

      1. Search the products 1 by 1 or scan until something catches your interest
      2. Go to Google Keyword tool and type in some relevant keywords for that product. Don't really pay attention to "blue bars"..those are the people competing for "Adwords" Pay attention to the search volumes.
      3. Take a couple of the search terms that are not too low and not too high...middle of the road search volumes.
      4. Type that keyword in a Google search with quotations. If the results are lower that 100,000 then you have a good shot.
      5. Now go to "Keyword Discovery" tool. Type in the same keyword.
      6. Cross reference the results there. You will see a lower number. This is more accurate volume of searches for that keyword.
      7. Do this until you find a winning combination.
      Now go build your site around that keyword. Use the Keyword as the Title of your site. Use the keyword as the First Heading of your first post. Now insert your Affiliate Product.

      Rinse and Repeat
