The most compelling sales page ever

What is the most compelling sales page you've ever seen? Whether or not you bought, what sales page have you seen that really compelled you to buy? Can you link to it here in this thread (without any affiliate links, obviously) so that us other Warriors can see what makes them so good?

Lt. X's (Chris Pizzo's) Accelerated Battlefield Combatives. The webpage isn't up anymore but if anyone has ever seen it when it was up, they'll know what I'm talking about.

The best sales pages that make me buy are the ones that sell a product that I was looking for, or at least solve a problem that I desperately needed to fix.

The rest is left for the copywriters to scratch their heads over.

    P.S

Could I ask you, what is the point in someone linking to a sales page for a compelling pitch of a product, if it doesn't relate to you personally? The point is, people buy because they are looking for a product or service or ultimate solution.

If I sent you a link to a sales page that solved back pains but you've never had back pains before, it might be hard for you to pick up the naunces and "pull" of the letter.

You might even think the letter is "run of the mill", unless of course you one day develop back pains and then that sales letter is the sweetest thing you'll ever read.

So you've never been compelled to buy something even if you didn't need it?

I'll have to disagree with your premise, at least personally. Maybe I'm unique, but I've bought based on a truly compelling pitch before, even if I wasn't looking to solve a problem or locate a specific product at the time. And to be honest, that's what I'm interested in seeing: copy and structure that is so compelling it just makes you want to buy, regardless of need.

An example is my mother. There's a TV commercial pitching a product right now, and every time it comes on my mom can barely resist picking up the phone and ordering it, even though she would literally have absolutely NO use for the product!

Well, I can see where you're coming from. I guess it would have to be something with wide appeal in that case, like weight loss or something.

With the internet though, you usually have to be proactive (i.e YOU find the website/sales page) instead of it finding you (TV, Radio, Mail). So the case of something just "popping up" in front of your eyes and making you buy is unlikely online.

Anyway, I know what you are getting at. You'll find that most sales letters share the same common points:

Attention (headline that intrigues, shocks and promises)
Interest (sub headline that shows what you'll get)
Desire (about the benefits of the product)
        Action (click here to order)

I know that's obvious to many, but I truly think that if you're targeting people who are looking for a solution that you offer, then following these 4 age old sales points will make you good money.

I'll let the copywriters add the small print...
