Website Design and Social Media Portfolio Exchange

I think from a marketing standpoint having a wide range of website design portfolios would allow any business outsourcing this service to maximize the range of designs out there.

I'm curious if website designers would be interested in exchanging their portfolio of designs as follows:

A small portfolio of designed sites would be made available that can be used to leverage and pre-sell to potential buyers. Social Media designs could be implemented as well.

This portfolio of site designs would be listed on a number online/offline marketing resources, indicating that "we will create this website" with various changes as a business requires.

This portfolio, would then be allowed to be mentioned in ads, websites and advertisements with the expressed implication that they will be "created similarly" for any business owner out there.

Mention of this service and these designs might be included in classified ads, brochures, banner ads, websites, and standard media including mobile marketing, TV and Radio.

Maybe a different slant to the existing outsourcing model...

Thanks

Do web developers allow business to help them sell more websites by leveraging their existing portfolios?

Hi Nelsonbiglar, I have had a couple of clients who tried this type of setup and to be honest with you non of them succeeded which was mostly down to lack of input and trust on the side of the designers who were afraid they would not be paid fairly. Hope this helps. Kieron

Hi... I can definitely understand that for sure. The point I want to make sure is understood is that the web designer wouldn't give our company the design itself, just screen captures, demo designs, list of scripts, pretty much all the details of their service specifically that they have in their portfolio. We don't want to rip developers off, just leverage the design itself to allow us to have a series of designs to show customers and emphasize that we can put all the steps necessary in place to get them the design the way they want.

We want to be able to just USE screen captures, demos, programming scripts etc in our marketing materials and when we sell a design we contact the designer and initiate the process for design, payment and final closure of the website.
