Trust me baby, I'm a Warrior....

I've been a member of the Warrior forum since 2005 and have seen it grow by leaps and bounds since then. Most of this growth has been for the better...more opinions, ideas and feedback than ever before.

Back then, and even up until very recently it was seen as a sort of unwritten code of honor that you don't screw over another Warrior. Has that changed?

The Warrior forum is probably one of the most supportive and helpful forums I've ever been a part of. When someone is in need, Warriors come to the rescue. When someone needs a site critique, people take literally hours out of their day to walk through a newbie through the sales letter or code. It's really an amazing place.

I've gotta say though....maybe it's just my trusting nature or that I try to see the good in everyone (especially Warriors) but my two most recent situations where I've been ignored after a purchase or not been paid for work or affiliate commissions have been Warriors and that really bugs me. Not so much because I'm struggling to get a certain Warrior to pay up affiliate commissions that were late as of almost 7 months ago, but because it really cheapens the relationships we have built here.

Because of the rules of the board and my respect for the mods, I can't mention names in this post even though every fiber of my being wants to in order to not only get a resolution to this matter but also to warn my other Warrior friends. I respect this board so much and the great people and mods who have made it that way, so if you find yourself on the dark side of this post, please listen to what I have to say.

This can be an amazing proving ground for ideas, a place to build relationships, and a sounding board for mini-rants like this one. So please respect it and respect your fellow Warriors. If you aren't paying up commissions or you aren't delivering products you've been paid for, for gosh sakes, straighten up and do the right thing. The people on the other side of the transaction have families, lives, personal problems too and it's disrespectful to this entire community to do these types of things.

That's it....just wanted to rant and hopefully spark a little bit of guilty feelings in some of those Warriors who are not following the code of honor we try to uphold here.

    Hi Jennifer,

You're right, and we're about to do something about it. We've had an influx of people from a certain forum that will remain unnamed who do nothing but sell junk and basically rip everyone off.

One way or the other it will end...

I used to think this place was like Internet Marketing Heaven. Where no one could do no wrong.

But experience has taught me that no matter where you are, there's always gonna be 'bad apples'.

    Allen,

I'm glad that you are on top of this and expected nothing less. Thank you!

But unfortunately, and this is surprising to me too, the person in my personal issue is a longtime Warrior so I'm afraid this attitude has spread to even veteran Warriors to some degree.

Any help you can give to Warriors to remedy these situations would be extremely helpful and appreciated!

Everytime you will find good you will also find bad... that's just how things are and will always be!

But this issue should get reported to the mod's and see what they can do to help you!

    Best of all!

    Regards,

      Jennifer,

I've dealt directly with hundreds of members here, possibly over a thousand. The number who've been actual problems is very small. They stand out like sore thumbs for two reasons: They're a surprise, and they're usually extreme.

My advice... Take small risks on people you don't know warrant larger ones. Talk up the folks who treat you right, and drop the ones who don't. Quietly tell your friends about the creeps and the crooks, which is NOT against the rules here.

Encourage others to do the same. There's no way to avoid people who are determined to be leeches, but you can minimize their damage, and encourage the folks on the edge to go the right way.

This also has the advantage of helping honest members (the majority, by far) to grow and crowd out the dishonest ones.
