Advice Needed About Selling on Clickbank

My brother has recently created an eBook that we are looking to sell on Clickbank in order to attract serious affiliates.

I'd like advice from anyone who sells products on Clickbank. What exactly will I need to do this. I know I have to pay a fee to Clickbank, but will I also need to buy a download page protector or does Clickbank take care of that? If I need to buy one what is the best one to buy for someone with little coding experience?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jake,

Make sure that the download page is not indexed by adding index no follow command. You don't want your download page indexed by search engine. Else, people will be able to download your book for free.

From Wikipedia - "nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index". What you're looking for in this case is the noindex nofollow meta tag. <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">. Put that in your html page after the title. It will exclude that page from being indexed.

Clickbank does not have an effective download protector but if you're not selling IM products you should be good. If you would still like to take a look at a download protector, try e junkie. It can auto generate downloadable links of your ebook. You can limit the download by time, by number of downloads. But in this case, you will need to edit the thank you page in clickbank and add the one from e junkie. I had trouble implementing split testing (google optimizer with this) but if you do something which is more straightforward, e junkie works great.

Hasn't Clickbank recently improved the way they handle the download pages?
