Is it possible to create a static blogger page as a home page?

I'm using blogger right now to create a mini site of 5 pages (not posts) but I can't get any of those pages as my home page of blogger. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

If you're only going to be building it as a mini-site of 5 pages the only post you make should stay on the front page and would seem to be the home page unless I'm missing something.

You need to "trick" Blogger into this.

    Do this:

Create a post, and set the date as xx/xx/2090

    Then...

You need to edit the post section (click customize, then click edit on the main widget where your posts show up), and only allow it to show 1 blog post..

    Job Done ...

Alternatively.... you can edit the main page in the template between the commands:

    <MainPage>........... </MainPage>

But I'm guessing you want the simple fix, right? see above.

Yeah, blogger is a funny one as there is no option to make a "sticky post".

What I've done in the past to combat this is firstly, decide what posts I'm going to use then post them counting down backwards because your last post is used as the first page you come to when you first visit the site.

You can also change the settings to one post per page and have links to the other pages listed on the right margin.

Hope that is of some help

    Zayne,

Rather than blogger if you go to your website's cpanel.
    Install wordpress on your site.
    Takes 2 mins!
My blog has a video tutorial. Really easy honest!
Then you will have the about page as a default first page.
Create a page called home or whetever you want your home page to be.
Then in your wordpress dashboard go to settings, then reading.
Here you will see that the front page will be set by defaukt to your latest posts.
Below you will have the option to change it to a static page.
Click that then choose the page from the drop down for the one you have.
Create more pages and don't do any posts.
Now you have a static front page and other static pages as well! :O)

    Hope that helps.

Any queries get back to me.

    Thanks Abdul.

    Thanks for all your responses!

Someone suggested that I should simply go to Settings - Formatting, set "Show at most" to 0 and then add an html/text gadget and position it above the blog posts gadget.

Do you think that would also work?

The best idea is to set the date on the post you want to be on frontpage in the future (for instance 9.6. 2015) after you have already publish it. In that case, you should also set "show only 1 post on frontpage" or something similar.

Apart from that, I dont recommend building money site on blogger as I once did that and got it deleted from blogger people.

Too bad as I was really excited about the income that site was making me.

But wouldn't that still say to blogger to wait until that time to publish it?

and how can it be indexed on Google if you delay the publish date?

How do I make sure it is actually published?

This is actually incredibly easy. You don't need any workarounds or post-dating to do this. Post-dating also loses the "latest posts" functionality which I imagine most people want.

To create a totally stand-alone, static home page, use this guide:
