INTERNET MARKETING

Can anyone explain the pros and cons of google analytics? If I sign up for it are they going to put ads on my website? :confused:

No they don't put ads on your website, perhaps you are thinking of Google Adsense?

I just started using analytics myself last week now on several of my websites and trust me when I say, I am not good with this kind of thing and have therefore avoided it.

But so far, all very easy to understand.

Not sure if I can say this as this project is not complete but I am currently evaluating (from a beginners point of view) a project by warrior member "dougyitbos" on analytics and I can say so far, that is excellent too

Note to - "dougyitbos" if you need me to delete that last part, please do pm me.

Nope. GA is just an old and slow tracking system used by most people (including me). They won't do anything to your website, you'll just place a piece of code into your pages then watch the stats:

- how many visitors you had
- how long they've been on your website
- where they came from

etc etc
