Has anyone else noticed google being spaztic?
I'm completely confused today. Last night I checked a SERP ranking for one of my new sites. I just published it and was expecting to be waaay down in the SERPs. Imagine my surprise and elation that when I check google to find that without anything other than basic on site SEO strategies, with no backlinking yet, I'm #83 out of over 5 million results.
Now this morning I check again and I go back 50 pages and cannot find the site. Bigtime bummer but I figure its some internal adjustments that google has made to my ranking after doing what google does. No big deal. I've got a solid .net TLD that matches this phrase exactly so I figure with a little backlinking and more content I'll be good.
This afternoon after work I perform some other keyword analysis for some other keywords on the site and notice that the keyword that I had ranked for initially was back up to #73 out of several million again.
Now its 11pm and I've checked my domain again to find that once again I'm gone from the SERPs on Google and nowhere within 50 pages again. Can anyone clue me into what the heck is going on?
