Last step of a revolutionary Web Start-up

Well atleast we think/hope it will be revolutionary.... We'll see when we launch in a few days. (I'll give you guys the URL to the site once we remove the password to login, which should be done shortly)

Here's the deal warriors, 1st time poster, long time lurker from a long time ago! It's been a while since I visited and would like to ask those that are up to date with the latest advertising trends and knowledge some information/advice.

Basicially the site will be offering a very advanced search engine as well as content that will surely keep people on our site.

My question you guys is this... If I'm expecting at least 300K visitors a month to my site, which adnetwork should I join to maximize revenues and which program would be in my best interest (CPM, CPA, etc). I think we eventually will establish direct relationships with companies for advertisements but for now, we would like to minimize our effort in the advertising department and allow an adnetwork to work their magic.

What would be your strategy in this case? :confused:

Also, how much should I expect to earn with that kind of traffic?:confused:

      Yeah but the site is not made to sell anything for the time being. It's a place for people to be entertained and to search for whatever topic they wish....

      Perhaps later we may come up with some products, but for now, it's purely entertainment.

    You talk about idle entertainment. Where I am sure making a million dollar income out of the site is possible if you know how to monetize the traffic well... and that is having your own product.

    If you do not have your product to sell, get some one else to create it for you.

    But I am not going to speak any further because I am not well versed with the topic of CPA etc.

      Thanks Lakshay. We'll consider having a product one day for sure, but going back to working with ads... Any ideas what we're looking at?

    I think itistime to do your own research, take your own gamble and then come back here and say - this works, that doesn't, etc.

    Who are you really? and what do you want? and what most importantly are you prepared to give back?

    Most of us here, don't have time for

    You won't get a definate answer as to what's happening today, because tommorrow the world has taken another 360 degree turn.

      Thank for that. I read through it and it gave me insight on everything I was looking for.

      But seriously, how could I tell you what works or doesn't if I have yet to try anything!

      And to be honest, you can know more about me once the site is launched. For now, I'd like to keep things anonymous.

      I'm just trying to get some numbers as to how successful CPA click throughs are and perhaps some avg on how many users sign up to them or whether I'm better off using some kind of CPM if people arent having success through CPA.

    You are actually better off sharing your knowledge with the forum and after such people get to know you then ask questions such as you have..

    I will go back to the very first post though by the great "lakshaybehl" .. Create your own product instead of using CPA networks.. Why bother with a pitty $2 or 12% when you could make 100% profit from your own products that would be related.

    Obviously nobody knows your business better then you , so when creating related products to your business there is nobody better for the job then yourself..
