Massive congrats! You can't beat that feeling and you never forget your first sale or commission. I remember my first ever CJ sale for a bodybuilding product. It just proves to you that it can and does work. Now step it up and leverage your efforts!

keep plugging away at the traffic machine. Once you get a few more sales you'll be able to start seeing what your conversion rate is. After you've got that, you can start making improvements to squeeze more money out of the same number of visitors.

Your doing well to get page 5 of google. Go more longtail on your keywords. How are you promoting, PPC or relying on organic search? If search only then consider getting some higher PR backlinks from other related sites. Search google for what phrase you would like to rank for and see if you get some links from those or similar sites, paid for or otherwise or see where they are getting their backlinks from and do the same

Well done - really really well done - I can remember the excitement and amazement of my first sale - but, hey, don't do what I did then.... I completely dropped the ball, I stopped all action and lost the plot - what an idiot, eh? Anyway, learnt my lesson finally! Congrats again and keep us posted on your progress.

I have about 126 or so visits since I started this site about a week ago. When I say I've been working hard, I really mean it. :p

Firstly, congratulations!

As for tips to getting to that elusive page 1, you want to build backlinks to your site or article, with the anchor text (text of the link pointing to your site) containing the keyword you want your site to rank for.

So you can submit more articles to other directories that point back to the article/site you want to rank, you can use social bookmarking, or even angela and paul style forum profile links.

its a decent way to get backlinks also, and if you're after low cost or no cost methods, it provides a good ROI for the time spend using it

Try and keep track of where it came from, because then you can monetise on what worked! For example if it came from Search Engine traffic for a particular keyword, you should set out to dominate it!

Congrats!!! Your on the right track. the only thing I can suggest is to try and back track your steps and find out where you have been working online recently before the sale. (Use this as a starting point) I usually reference my activities so I know where I have been and what I have done.

Well done, you have a job at hand now. Finding where your sale came from and putting in more effort as well as looking for better ways out there. There isn't two ways about making money i guess.

I assume the character from WoW is yours that you have pictures of? Not that I have leveled my character to 80 (can't be bothered), but if that character displayed items that are for a level 15 say or a level 1, then an experienced player can easily see that it is fake.

That is my only concern when you advertise online gaming.

Besides that if you are playing World of Warcraft, why not share your enthusiasm about your character and post screenshots + videos of your character? Every gamer knows they can use FRAPS to capture gaming footage and even if it is on trial, it gives you a couple of minutes which is quite handy plus the trial never runs out. Of course I would never recommend camtasia as the program is not designed to capture video at such high frame rates.

Your best bet as someone looking to make money in this area is to start a youtube channel about your character and share tips and advice. Always popular and the amount of traffic you get from a video is always targeted. You won't find an accountant looking at the video unless he plays WoW.

Congratulations! I agree with the earlier suggestion that you start a YouTube Channel.

Make 10-20 short Videos(30sec -2min max.), you can use Power point, start making video comments on similar channels and remember to put your URL at the beginning of the video.

Thats great stuff im so glad for you, It can be frustrating when you have put in a lot of hard work and get no sales. But that 1st sale always helps to push you forward towards 10 sales then 100 sales.
