Cannot get correct thumbnail to show on youtube

It used to be that the image in the middle of the video showed as the thumbnail now its picking from random spots.

I want a specific image to show. Has anyone figured out the new formula?

    I do not know what the specific formula is...but here are a couple of idea's that i used.

    1. The images that are showing up as thumbnails----go back and edit your video and replace the segment of the video where those pics or clips are with the clip or vid that you are wanting to include. You may need to tweak your vid a bit...but that is a sure fire way to get what you want.
    2. Make sure that the thumbnail that you do want shows longer in your vid than any other ...ie 4 sec vs. everything else at 3 sec.
    3. I have found that the thumbnails that show are at about every 1/3 of the video.
