I am going to promote my affiliate products via article writing...yet I'm trying to set everything up to flow the best and have the best results.

So, how should my article go exactly?

Article > Squeeze Page > Blog

Article > Blog > Squeeze Page

Either way, I intend to also have an optin box on my blog, PLUS I was going to post some of the better articles that I write onto my blog as well, however change the articles slightly on my blog so that they then point to an affiliate link.

The articles I submit to the directories would point readers to where? The squeeze page or the blog?

Thanks guys

Sometimes I put a link to my blog as the anchor text in the bio. Then I add an additional call to action with a link to my squeeze page. I have had some success with this method, but I am still testing it to see how effective it really is. You should do some testing and see what gets you the best results.

My vote is Blog>Article>Squeeze Page. This is the method I use. It allows me to use my blogs to create backlinks to my Articles for better ranking. Yet I also capture emails for my lists.

If you're promoting a product in the articles then definitely have a link to the squeeze page, but I always try to leave a link to my blog in the bio box. Never like to miss out on a chance that someone may want to subscribe to what I have to say.

It really just depends on what it is you are marketing in your articles. You also have to consider that your article is going to get picked up more if it doesn't have a direct link to a capture page (squeeze page).

    Google hates squeeze pages...

    That's my two cents!

  • Unless you're SEO-concerned (squeeze pages don't rank well), as a general rule of the thumb try to always place your squeeze pages at the front of your funnels. Building a mailing list should always be your number one priority on your business.

If someone lands at your blog how many ways of capturing the visitors email does it have?

eg - sidebar, footerad, pop-ups, exit pops, what would seth godin do plugin so you have an opt-in box at the bottom of every post, links to twitter / facebook profiles.

A well optimised blog with good content may be better than yet another squeezepage?
