Newbie here-what program would you recommend to start IM?

I'm not a total newbie, used to do email/internet marketing with Clickband several years ago, but I've been out of the loop for several years. I've been doing a lot of research and also reading the threads on this site, but a lot of info to sift through

Would you recommend a program such as Google Snipe or Profit Instruments to start? From what I read, PI is more expensive, and seems to cover what GS does, but maybe with better media and 'over the shoulder' videos.

I am also currently going through the 30 Day Challenge.

Any advice would be helpful.

    Hey Brian,

I don't know if I would recommend throwing money into an expensive program immediately. If you've been out of IM for a while, I recommend you continue to read around the Warrior Forum and look for things you may have missed out on in the past few years. There's great free information throughout the forum if you look hard enough.

With all the information in here, there's no real need to buy an expensive guide unless you don't want to spend the time reading.

    Hi,

I'm sure you will get a different answer from all who answer, but, you did say what would I recommend.

It seems you are ready to spend some money so this includes that.

Treat the Warrior Forum like a "program" so to speak. Later you will decide for yourself what other programs to buy.

First of all pay the $37 bucks to join the war room.

Go straight to the "my thoughts" section by Allen Says. Read everything but pay most attention to product creation and direct response threads.

There you go. That's what I'd recommend.

George Wright, P.S. If you do that, and if you work hard enough you could easily earn your first money within 24 hours.

I discovered that right after I made the post. Looks like a good investment.

        1. Read everything you can find online about web marketing.
        2. Figure out your strong points and find a marketing solution that fits you.
        3. Find a training program that teaches as much about that marketing method as possible, without screwing you over.

In my case I write pretty well, and have a very active mind. So I use blog sites, combined with Article marketing, with a few other things thrown in the mix.

    Hey Brian,

I am a big believer in "reverse-engineering". Meaning that I have found that one of the easiest ways to become successful, and skip all the trial and error, is to take an already successful business, and study it, by tearing it apart (if you will) and seeing what it is they are doing. And then I do what they do!

This is extremely powerful, and best of all, you can do it without spending a dime!

That said, I don't know if you have ever heard about Jeff Walker. He tends to fly under the radar. But he is personally responsible for the success of some of the biggest names on the internet, as far as "homemade" online businesses go. Well, Jeff is going to be launching his latest product called Product Launch Formula 3.0.

So here's the obvious tip: If the guy who is the best person in the world at doing product launches is DOING a product launch, shouldn't you get a "front row seat" to see exactly how he does it? Especially if you can do it for free?!! Well... YOU CAN! Just do what I just did, and sign up to be on his list!

That way, YOU will get to see everything that he does to launch his own product! You'll see his videos. You'll get his emails. You'll get everything! All without any cost! It is like having an insider view of how the best do it!

Here is the link to his site: http://zap33.com/walker

This method will give you the best marketing course that you didn't have to buy!

There are also a ton of really good courses that are free, or next to free.

Ed Dale has his "Thirty Day Challenge"... etc....

Also... you can get some of the big "Guru" courses at a great price on eBay. I like Frank Kern and Eban Pagen. And... you can learn from the people that they learned from for all most free... the marketing basics with Brad Richdale, Marc Zboch, Don LaPre, Jeff Paul, Shawn Casey.....

    There's my two cents!

    Hope it helps.

    Mark.

      Hi,

I guess if you are in the 30 day challenge you know about MFF. I tried MFF but didn't feel comfortable with the prospect of ordering merchandise every month. I have been researching other avenues and recently joined a marketing company which I can highly recommend. If you are interested please visit my website: CarlMort.com Lots of information and you can opt-in to reach the marketing site. Live 24 hour monitors will help you. Also the entire clickbank inventory is on my site listed under 10,000 products. Best Wishes on whatever endeavor you take. Carl Mortimer

      Brian, just to clarify...

Let's say you want to determine if a link such as http://zap33.com/walker/ is actually an affiliate link - which can be difficult to detect through a redirection service because it goes by so fast.

What you can do is use a service like WebToolHub.com's URL Redirection Checker which allows you to step through redirection one step at a time.

      Here's an example:

      Date Sun, 13 Jun 2010 03:24:23 GMT
      Server Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) mod_ssl/2.2.15 0.9.8l DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
      Domain
      http://zap33.com/walker/
      Status Redirect (HTTP 302)
      Result This URL is Redirecting
      New Location http://productlaunchformula.com/?18446

Now, you see the "intermediary" URL which has the ?18446 on it which gives some evidence (although not complete proof) that the link is actually an affiliate ID.

The reason it's important to understand techniques like this is because otherwise you can miss out on various promotional methods when doing your reverse engineering.

Yes, yes, yes - join the War Room.

As regards paid step by step programs, the one which got me moving is linked to in my signature. The link is to a review, written by me, and yes I am an affiliate; but it works - honest injuns. And if, for some reason, it doesn't work for you - then the author of the program will give you $100!!! (twice your investment). So, this isn't a hard sell, but I can't tell you how excited I was to actually get the kind of help I needed.

Now I'm worried that I'm not actually allowed to promote affiliate stuff here... hope I haven't annoyed anyone!

War room first - anyway - huge amount of information!

    Hey Brain,

It seems from the products that you're mentioning that you are going after the niche blog business model.

If you haven't bought anything yet then I would definitely recommend you stick with 30 day challenge.

I know google sniper is very good and has got some good reviews, but 30 day challenge gives you so much more and basically teaches you the same thing but more indepth.

I've been through 30dc and even though it's not the model of internet business that I've chosen, I still use some of the techniques from the program today.

It's brilliant (...obviously I'm not biased or anything lol...)

    Reach new heights Brian

      Is that what it's called?

Well, not having much money to begin with, it looks like a good place to start since there doesn't seem to be much money outlay, including not having to pay for a course since you say the 30 Day Challenge covers that model without costing me anything for a course.

Back in the day I was paying for autoresponders and email lists to send out thousands of emails a day (although I would like to capture the emails of those that come to my website and purchase from me and build my own list).

The first thing I ran across was Profit Instruments, which led me back to Google Sniper (which is cheaper) and then to the 30 Day Challenge. In my searches I came across this site and this place is definitely a good find. What appealed to me was the low cost of startup of that model.

I did make a little money back in the day sending out emails with an offer and a link to a site, so I know it can be done, but just never had enough money with that model to take it to another level. So the 'niche blog business model' seems to be the way to start for me.
