Hosting Question

I currently have a normal Hostgator Baby Croc account and its been working fine until now. I have one website which runs a script which requires more then 64mb allocated memory. They recommend me upgrading to Level3 VPS hosting package, which will support this script. The reason why they offer Level3 is because it comes with cPanel. They ask for $49.95 per month.

So I am looking for a hosting which has more then 64mb allocated memory and has a pretty good price and runs cPanel

Can anyone recommend anything?

    What script is it that you're trying to run?

    I have the reseller account at hostgator for $24.95 per month and I've never had any troubles installing scripts.

    Most hosting accounts only allocate 64mb memory.
    I have a script that does image resizing and it overflows given the memory given.

    With hostmonster, how much allocated memory do you get?

      Can you not control the size of the image submitted for resizing?

      Have you tried to outsource this? Perhaps you can find someone to do this easily and inexpensively, no?

      I also recommend getting a Hostgator Reseller account since you get many more privileges for $25 a month.

        One quick suggestion. Don't evaluate a hosting service by the sales page. Read the TOS. The TOS (Terms of Service) is where you will find the limitations of the hosting account.

      Which script is it?

      Is it XML SiteMaps by any chance? I found this uses a lot of memory if you have a very large site (e.g. 100k pages).

    The plan you are having also comes with cPanel. Do not understand why this is the reason to go for level 3...
