Hello again,

Just noticed another post on this subject, is there any advantage to subscribing your articles to say 20 article directories, or do you get just the same juice or more from submitting to just the top 5 for example, Regards, Mick.

Look at it this way, the more article submissions you have, the more juice you will get, I personally submit to 25+ and am willing to use new article directories just for backlinks alone.

And do you submit the same article to 25 directories, or do you spin them and submit different ones, regards.

You want to put your main focus on the top five or ten, but the more directories you can submit to the better in my experience. The less popular directories are still great for getting back links to your site. Plus there is also the opportunity for someone to find your article and post it on their site, even more back links. I submit my articles to at least 20 directories and sometime way more. I do not spin my articles either. I just make sure the top ones are indexed prior to submitting to the others.

I think you need to be careful with Google if you submit to too
many directories - it could regard the articles as spam.

I would be more inclined to choose about 10 of the best
which will give good traffic if the articles are good quality.

I have submitted to article directories in the past and what I've noticed in terms of just long term use is you need to start small. Start by only submitting to the top 5 directories. You will get into the groove of things and get used to it.

With article marketing, it takes time to see results so the last thing you want to do is overwhelm yourself too early and end up looking for a new way to get traffic.

It'll be better if you get to submit to more directories but I would suggest using the first top 10. You'll get more traffic from there however getting backlinks from the other won't be so bad. There will always be some who'd check out other directories other than the popular ones(ezine, articlebase, etc).

It all depends on the goals of your article marketing campaign.

Looking for traffic? You should stick to the directories that you see ranking naturally in google.

Looking for backlinks? Add more directories to your arsenal. You should be aware though that your backlinks will disappear ever once in a while.

Getting backlinks is a long term game plan.

I submit to top five article directories for traffic and to get some one way backlinks I use submission services like Isnare or content crooner and that will give me quite a lot of backlinks in short period of time. I do not spin the article, sometimes I have them rewritten, but if not then I just change the article titles.
