    Hi. I am in Johanneburg.
Really in the center of it all.
A fan park is 600 meters away from my desk.
the guys who are REALLY cashing it are....
the flag selling hawkers at all the intersections.
    thousands of them.
quite amusing really, they keep asking me where my flag is.
still the vibe is great, and some of the games are a lot of fun.
those of you supporting your countries - good luck.

I absolutely hate vuvuzelas. "Vuvuzelas are loved around the world", I wanted to punch the organizer who said that.

Yeah. Even the other African teams are complaining. How is the World Cup suppose to be a multicultural event if the only damn thing we can hear are those annoying Vuvuzelas?

hi so far i've made $400 cashing in on the world cup. this is how i did it. i went to clickbank to get a product that let people watch the world cup online from their pc. not satellite tv. its under sport, may be page two "online TV" that the name. i set up a free blog on it and started directing traffic through articles, press release. hope this helps. you can add a betting affiliate to your blog but i didnt do that.

Anyone cashing in on the World Cup Soccer event?
        Yes, the brewing company Bavaria:

2 Dutch women in court for WCup ambush marketing - Yahoo! News

Not only did they get a bit of publicity at the event, the arrest of the two women made international headlines. With all the stuff going on in the world, it's pretty amazing to break through all the "noise" and snag some press.

        Cheers,

I was down at my local shopping center an hour ago...
Eastgate - supposedly the biggest shopping center in the southern hemisphere.
and 80% of the people were all wearing their teams colors.
the entire center was chock-a-block full...
and you wont believe it ( well actually i think you will) vuvuzelas going off everywhere
        in the food court
        in the car park
it really can drive you mad!
I started to wonder how expensive an operation would be to surgically remove a deeply inserted vuvuzela would be........
but if they banned them - would i have to learn to sing?
        rob

        ps.
about 6 months ago i built two websites for a local hard hat manufacturer -and i suspect that he is doing quite well.
I see his products at all the local flea markets - so he is making hay!

        PPS
now that you all can see what sort of environment us South African marketers have to work in - i expect big discounts from you all.
        haha

        PPPS
naturally we are also pleased that all the muggers are too busy blowing vuvuzelas to mug everybody...

Another one here enjoying watching the World Cup rather than promoting it. Though after spending twenty minutes at a time in a five deep scrum of people at the bar who all seemed to be a foot taller than me during Saturday's England v USA match, I suspect that some of the home brew sites might have done well if they've been pitching at the right angle soon enough.

There's got to be a profitable search string somewhere that will remind people that there's more chance during match days of getting a drink at the Betty Ford Drying Out Clinic than there is at their local. These are desperate people with a need that has to be filled - it will be another four years before I am over the trauma

World Cup has been a bit disappointing lately. The English fans aren't very vocal this year. Normally they're singing throughout and I didn't get that same vibe as in previous years. Assuming not as many English fans made the trek to South Africa. At least not the loud ones. LOL

Oh wow, there are a lot of angry World Cup viewers wanting the Vuvuzelas banned. They say it's destroying the atmosphere and is very annoying. I definitely agree. I'm not annoyed by it but I do know that the usual World Cup atmosphere which I'm used to is not there. The fans aren't chanting or singing like in previous years because of it.

        Its FOOTBALL not "soccer"
It got me thinking about getting in there early for the next one in Brazil. Most of the domains are already gone but I bought:

It's been a poor World Cup thus far. Poor quality games and poor atmosphere. Heck the players even complained about the ball itself. And the England fans were mute. How is that even possible? Ban the vuvuzelas. Those things are making people deaf.
