A Question About Article Writing

In the Warrior forum and on the site freelancer.com there are many, many offers to write 400 - 500 word articles for as little as 0.99 to $1.20 each.

Why would they do this? Freelancer.com has writers bidding on writing 100 articles for $1.50 each.

Am I missing something here (it frequently happens ).

    Some of the writers are from countries where $1.50 is a pretty good rate.

    I personally have not been able to get decent quality articles for that price. But I'd be interested to know if anyone else has.

      I totally agree with Sara. I have not been able to get any quality with those cheap articles. All they do is find some information and spin it . This usually results in things which just do not make sense to a reader.

      These kinds of articles might help you get traffic, but visitors will not stay on your site for long!!!
      Before you hire an article writer, insist on a sample of their work using the topic and keywords you provide. For me, content just has to be quality.

      There might be some freelancers who are looking for a start and are prepared to work for low rates...BUT..if they are any good, their rates wont be low for long!

    I don't think it is possible. just $1.5 for an article ? may be spinned articles I don't think they will be genuine.

    many opf the them are non native english speaking and you'll need to do alot of editing to make the article good enough to be submitted to ezines. With the amount of time you waste you may as well pay more for it.

    I don't see a problem in hireing them to say set up your wordpress blog, but not write an article

      It is pretty difficult to get any such content writer, who will work for such low price. Even if you find one, that person may not work up to the mark.

    It could be someone that's just starting out so they figure they should set the price very low so they attract attention and clients.

    That being said it does shout out a warning signal that the quality of the article you get may not be to whatever standards you apply. There is the saying you get what you pay for.

    That being said you just may get a gem of a writer who is willing and can deliver high quality outputs for such a low price.

    It is entirely possible but you take it for what it is I suppose.

    That makes $150 for probably 5-7 days work. Not a bad deal for someone who lives in a country like mine where $300 per month is still considered a decent wage.

    I am not saying that you would get quality from these writers. I am absolutely certain that quality is an exception in such cases.

      I agree, it is highly unlikely that the buyer will get a decent article at that price.
      heavy editing and possibly a complete rewrite of the article might be required.

    There are too many article writers nowadays but you could not find writer that will be able to write for that price. They might just give you some issues with your articles.
