One Of My Sites Got Hacked...
Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could help me out with this one...
About a year ago I built a site for a non-profit on the Joomla platform (I know, that's what you get for building on open source platforms)
I've spent the past 11 days trying to resolve this issue and think I'm finally done. I uninstalled Joomla and worked with GoDaddy to remove all the infected files and looked through the databases.
They even got in and infected some of my other sites on the same hosting account...
I took all the content off the previous site and uploaded Wordpress along with the Firewall plugin: WordPress › Wordpress Firewall WordPress Plugins
The plugin captured 15 attempts from the same ip address which I tracked to theplanet.com in houston,tx.
They were trying to get at a Joomla plugin...
Where do I go from here? The sites have been secured, but this cost me a ton of time and money to resolve...
