How to Add 30+ Subscribers to Your Email List Each Day!

The majority of you already know the importance of building a targeted email list of subscribers. Having your own email list in your specific niche market allows you to literally be able to type a simple message, and blast it out to thousands of people all at once!

Email marketing is used by all of the so-called "gurus" because quite frankly, it works! Imagine having a list of 20,000 targeted prospects: If you send an email out and only 10% of the people on your list open the email you will still have 2,000 targeted prospects reading your sales page!
So, how do you go about building a targeted email list? In this post I am going to share with you a method that I have used to generate an average of 30+ subscribers per day to my email list, and some days many more than that!

1. To start with, you need to have a squeeze page that converts at a minimum of 25%. I like to shoot for something in the 40-50% range, but make sure that your squeeze page is converting at 25% or higher. You may have to test your pages and tweak them, but it is important that you maximize conversions as this will lead to more signups and sales. Also, make sure that you are giving away a free report that contains value for your soon to be subscribers.

2. After you know that your squeeze page converts, you have to drive targeted traffic to that page, which is what this article is primarily about. There are many traffic sources that you can use, and below I am going to talk about 3 traffic strategies I use that drive targeted traffic to my various squeeze pages.

- Classified ads. I know that many of you may know about classified ads, but the key to using classified ads effectively is to build a list, and not try to sell to someone out right. People will seldom buy immediately from classified ads, but they are a great marketing tool that you can use to drive traffic and build a list! One thing that is very important when advertising with classified ads is to include an image that has been professionally designed. You can outsource this task to someone who is proficient with graphic design, and it will increase your conversion rates substantially.

-Forum marketing. If you want to build a list fast, then simply find forums within your niche. Go to Google and type in "your niche+forum." When you register for a forum, you will typically be able to include a signature link at the bottom of each post. In this signature, you will put an anchor-text link to your squeeze page. This is a simple, yet effective way to drive targeted traffic to your website. Forums can provide you with some of the most targeted traffic possible, because the vast majority of people on a niche forum will be interested in the product or service that you offer! In order to accelerate your list building with forums, you must provide valuable content within the body of your posts. Don't just say "yeah I agree with that."

-Document Sharing. Most people do not use this method of traffic generation, and yet it is a very powerful method that can add tons of new subscribers to your list in a very short amount of time. Document sharing websites such as Scribd and Docstoc are terrific places to submit articles with a link back to your website. Most people simply write an article, and submit it to ezinearticles. While this will get you traffic, it does not get you near the traffic that submitting articles to document sharing websites can get! I have seen many of my articles get 20x the traffic at document sharing website then they would have gotten at traditional article directories. Also, you can "promote" your site in many places other than just the resource box, and your document will go live immediately. (no approval or review process!)

-Content Syndication:
Did you know that popular blogs in your niche are constantly looking for new content that you can provide? One of the most powerful methods that you can use to drive a massive amount of traffic to your website is by guest blogging on high traffic blogs. Find blogs that get thousands of visitors on a daily basis, and contact the blog owners about guest blogging. If you show the blog owner that you can provide valuable content, he or she will likely ask you to write a guest blog post for them!

Of course there are many other traffic tactics that can build you a list in no time, but I have simply focused on the ones that have provided me with the best results! With these traffic tips you now have no excuse not to build a targeted list of email subscribers!

Just think: 30 new subscribers per day equals well over 10,000 subscribers per year! Now go build a big list and watch the money come rolling in!

Thanks for the tips, I've used some of them with moderate success, but I'm curious about this part:

What kind of image do you mean? Keep in mind it's been years since I've even visited a classified site - I don't even remember them having images in them but I may just be forgetting that part.

Is the image supposed to be an "e-cover" of your free gift or something?

Certainly can't argue with what you have written, but if most people could develop a squeeze page out of the gates that coverted at 25% (or anywhere close) - this post would hardly be necessary!

In other words, in having coached hundreds of people over the last few years, conversion of opt-in forms and squeeze pages is a HUGE challenge, correctable of course, but for most, it remains a big mystery.

          Hey Jeff

It's really not that hard. One only needs a simple page with a great
headline.. and of course, targeted traffic to your offer to get a minimum
          25% conversion rate.

You don't need fancy graphics or design either. In fact, the use of bullet
points has been disappearing in squeeze pages recently and has shown to
increase conversions. Which makes sense, because the lack of them (along
with a great headline) actually entices prospects to opt-in to learn more.

Reference Jason Fladlien or Jit Uppal's squeeze pages. Those guys use
extremely simple pages, yet see 40-50%+ conversions.

I personally have one video squeeze page that has actually converted at
over 65%! I was totally shocked. You can check it out at 30DaysTo1K.com

          Just my 2-cents :-)

        Wendy,

Based on some ads that I have tested, I like images. Craigslist does allow images in classified ads, even though you do not see them very often. This image could be an e-cover, or it could also be something like a logo for your website, business, or product.

Another important factor is to make the image clickable. I have found that people typically respond better to images than to just plain text

I also agree. Images sell better than texts. Also if you could insert an animated play button or make the whole image animated, that would instantly grab people's attention and more likely to click on it.

    Good post mlord10!

I use http://www.big-boards.com/ for finding high traffic niche forums. They keep an updated list of the biggest and most visited boards within pretty much any niche.

The google trick works like a charm too.

I'd really never used document sharing before. So, I uploaded an old 20 page ebook of mine on affiliate marketing to Scribd. In the first 30 minutes it has 17 reads.

It will be interesting to see how many sign-ups or sales that might translate to.

        Thanks,

        Dan

I heard after you mentioned classifieds that some guys are actually doing advertising throught Craigslist posts. Saw one offer on flippa where guy is building his list that way. It seems boring, but if you consider classifieds, then why not go with the biggest?

I'd forgotten about document sharing. I heard that in a Webinar a while back.

Thanks for the reminder. Must go and share an article.

Sure, Classified ads are a great way to drive traffic, and the only website that I ever really use for classifieds is Craigslist. Of course, there are other sites such as Backpage, USFreeAds, etc., but I like Craigslist. I have heard that GumTree (I think that is the name) is good for people in the UK.

I don't spam the classified ad sites, and I don't post more than 3 times each day. I believe that a quality post will get responses, and thus you really do not need to post much more than that.

Just post an ad in the "small biz ads" section for the nearest city close to you. Make sure that you have a professional image to go with it, and make the image clickable.

Also make sure that you have a strong call to action, and that all of the traffic that you get comes directly to your squeeze page.

        Adam,

Document sharing does work very well, and it can get you a ton of traffic. Make sure to submit your new "document" to popular bookmarking sites such as Digg.

Also, I failed to mention that uploading Powerpoint presentations to Slideshare.net is also another traffic source you can try!
