How does a membership site work with Clickbank?!

Ok, I DID email Clickbank and the response I got was NOTHING close to answering my question...

It is quite simple.. I am selling video guides to popular video games.

Instead of slamming the customer with GB's of downloads, I will just host all the videos on my website.

So in order for them to see the videos, when they pay the ONE TIME fee of $xx, they have a lifetime membership and can log in with their username/password at anytime and view the videos.

Now, how can I work that into Clickbank?

So:

1. They like what they see on my sales page and they want to buy my guides
2. They click the "buy now" and they are redirected to Clickbanks secure payment page
3. They are redirected to my "thank you" page

Now, perhaps my "thank you" page could be the sign up form? And if so, how would that stop someone from just signing up anyways without directly going through CB first, which means I wouldn't get paid..

I was going to use Joomla since they have a free membership software if that helps anyone with answering..

Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong, help please

P.S. It doesn't have to be a membership site. Any ideas of how to host the videos for them without them having to download everything would be great as well.

i feel your pain there are a lot of frustrations when it comes to setting up your own membership to work with clickbank, but just do some searching there are some that work with it, or hire a programmer and he can work out something with the API.

My team and i have been developing a pretty epic membership script that works seamlessly with clickbank however its not ready yet mabie when i have it in beta ill shoot you a PM!

A membership software that would integrate easily with CB would be a great value to me as well. I would like to see what you have up your sleeve Mokai. Feel free to PM when it is close to launch as well.

You could restrict access to the page unless the referrer is clickbank, it's one solution.

Could you explain how I would go about doing that?

      Thanks

Just parse the referring url to strip it down to just the tld, for example: clickbank.com and if it doesn't match with "clickbank.com" it will output access denied, or if it does, show them the page, or do whatever you need it to do.

I use membership software called Digital Access Pass (DAP). It's a Wordpress plugin and it integrates with ClickBank.

Customer orders via ClickBank. DAP picks up the order from Clickbank and sends customer login information. Your content is protected by DAP.

You can set it up for recurring billing or one-time so that's not a problem. On Clickbank you'll set up the product type there. Since it's a one-time charge it will be a "standard" product with Clickbank.

DAP is not free so if you're going to use the Joomla membership script you need to make sure it can integrate with Clickbank to make your life easier.

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed Is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying.

Yea, I dig DAP! I now have it on 3 sites. One is a recurring fixed-length membership site that lasts for 3-months and 2 are one-time payment products so DAP can accommodate both business models!

I'm also switching my Butterfly Marketing site to DAP. Free report on the front-end with OTO since DAP has a cool OTO feature as well.

Their support is very good they even jumped on Skype to help me in real time. You get free support for 6 months so I suggest ordering when you're ready to use it so you can get access to the free support since that's when you'll have most questions.

Amember actually does support ClickBank and recurring billing. I've set that up before. See Membership software - aMember Pro

There are also paid options if you want to take the Drupal route instead (costs $65).

PM me if that seems like an option for you. (Just don't want to link to the site selling those modules.)

EasyMemberPro integrates with Clickbank memberships. So does Login Formula Marketing, Wishlist Member and tons of other scripts.

When Clickbank sends buyers to your "signup" page...they also send hidden order information. If you purchased one of the software solutions mentioned above, the signup page will verify the order is approved directly with Clickbank and then allow access to signup. Otherwise they get an error page.

All these scripts use the Clickbank API to integrate. ClickBank API
