100,000 visitors from YouTube in a week!

I am about to reveal a huge un-tapped traffic generating system that can generate 100,000 or more visitors to your site every week by harnessing the power of YouTube.

Did you know that people are watching 2 billion videos a day on YouTube and uploading hundreds of thousands of videos daily. In fact, every minute, 24 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube.

This is possibly the biggest marketing opportunity you will ever have.
But how does it work?

I must be mad to be telling you this information, as this is my biggest traffic generating method I have ever used.

However, this is what you need to do.

Go to YouTube and search for the videos that have 75,000 - 100,000 views and are less than a year old.

Then you look below the video at the description. If the video does NOT have a url link there then you have a potential winner.

The next thing to do is check that the video is increasing in popularity.

This is easily done by clicking the down arrow bottom right of the video and the video statistics windows will display. As long as the green line is rising then from left to right then the popularity is on the rise as well.

Okay so far so good. Now we need to get our url link to our website, blog or squeeze page underneath this popular video.

Come a little closer, I will say this only once...

You now need to type a short description of what your website can offer, i.e "make $200 a month online working from home, etc..." and save it in your notepad.

Next you will need to write a short email that you are going to send to the owner of the video and it needs to say something like this..

Hi **NAME**

I just watched this video of yours **VIDEO NAME** which is great!

My name is **YOUR NAME** & I'm an ([Internet Marketer] or whatever you are.)

I noticed that you don't have a link in the description of your video and was wondering if you would place a link in there to one of my websites in return for some $$$?

This is literally 30 secs work for you and I will send you $$$ instantly via PayPal once done.

Look forward to hearing from you.

**YOUR NAME**

Copy the text above into your notepad for use later.

Now what you need to do is click on the video owners name and halfway down the page you will see a link that says "Send Message". This will enable you to send a personal message to the video owner.

In the Subject you need to enter: "Important" and in the Message box enter the email copy you saved in Notepad. (Don't forget to change the asterisk parts to your own copy). Now click Send and sit back and wait for a reply or better still repeat the process over and over again.

In my experience you will soon get some replies wanting to know more. Most people using YouTube are not Internet Marketers are do not realise the power it can harness to generate huge traffic to your website. They do not work for a big company or make lots of money online. They are regular people just uploading videos and some are getting very lucky with them going viral across the world.

These are precisely the people you want to target. Do NOT waste your efforts contacting companies or videos with links already there.

When you receive a positive reply you will need to explain what you want them to do and how much money you are prepared to pay them for their efforts.

As this will only take about 30 seconds of their time to do offering them $20 for a potential tsunami of traffic is the cheapest traffic generating system you will ever find.

When you have both agreed the price you will need to email them with the following instructions...

Dear **NAME**

Thank-you for your quick and positive response.

This should take a couple of minutes of your time to do and I will pay you directly from my PayPal account $20 once you have completed the link.

All you have to do is add the following url before your description text.

**YOUR URL HERE**

Then if you go back to "My Videos" and click on the "Annotations" tab you will see your video and an icon in the bottom left of the screen. You click the middle icon, select the 2nd icon called "Add Note" then simply enter this text in the box that appears...

**ENTER YOUR TEXT HERE**

Next you need to re-size the box to a rectangle by dragging the corner small squares and move to the bottom of the screen, so it doesn't detract from your video.

Then if you click on the text a menu will appear above. Now select the colour icon and choose blue (or whatever you like).

Finally in the timeline below your video you will need to extend it to the full length of your video by grabbing the "blue bracket" and dragging to the end.

Now just click on Publish and it's all done.

Any questions please feel free to contact me.

Regards,

**YOUR NAME**

And that is it. Once they have done what you have asked simply ask them for their PayPal email address and send them the agreed money for their efforts.

Now you will see a huge surge in your traffic stats with very little time and money.

This would be great advice in 2007, but now that it's damn near impossible to make it work, marketers are more than happy to share the 'secret'

Thank-you everybody for your "mixed" responses. I am realitively new to IM, hence the reason for the enthusiasm when I discover a technique "new" to me. Maybe it would have been more welcome in the newbie section.

Has anybody got any other traffic gems that I might still be green about?

    Mike,

its good to see you are testing things out for yourself, something which most people do not do, but like alot of Warriors have already mentioned, your about 3 years to late to the bandwagon

The problem with this method is, ensuring that the video owners dont screw you over especially if you paid them to put the link in their video. It has never happened to me but I have heard stories of people paying a lot of money for a plug, but the link is never put in the description.

The other problem is if you pay them and they dont honour their end of the deal, you have no recourse against them.

Then there is the little issue of people artificially inflating the views, comments and ratings of videos to boost their popularity etc, so determining if the views and comments and ratings are legitimate can be very difficult to do.

Other than that, soldier on fellow warrior!

An old tactic such as this will often be seen as no longer having any merit. Showing instead of telling is always better. In the showing you may find opportunities to further your goals that you never saw before.

I don't know about this tactic being old hat but it does work and very effectively too.
A couple of weeks ago I found a YouTube video that fitted in nicely with my targeted keywords and approached the owner with the suggestion of annotating his video - he had no problems and the job was done - a link back to my website and it only cost me $10 (his suggestion).
Within a few days there was a very noticeable increase in traffic to my website and a very welcome increase in my eBay revenue.
So, old as it may be, don't knock it until you have given it a go.

I find it very interesting that people here have said that this is old, everyone knows about this tactic and it doesn't work. ha ha ha!

What's even more funny are the threads that talk about "Article Marketing". That is the oldest marketing, traffic tactic in the world, but everyone is doing it, some want to do it, and others just don't know where to start. It works for some and doesn't work for others. But no-one in those threads says that it doesn't work, or its old...

What I'm getting at is, thanks for revealing this method to those that didn't know about it and to those that knew about it, but didn't know how to go about doing it.

This definitely sounds like a good way to get traffic from youtube. Creating your own videos isn't very difficult if you want to make your own youtube account and use it to promote your site.

Also, doing videos in a series attracts people a lot more. For example having a 6 part video series on a subject, the viewer wants to see all of it after watching one or two parts and is more likely to go to your site.

      Hey Mike,

I don't know about a traffic tsunami, but i does work well for some niches. People are getting wise to it though. As George Brown says, buy their account not just offer them $10-$20.

Good luck with the video marketing.

Just a thought, you could always make your own video!

When I started in IM I was force to enter a very competitive market because it was what I knew. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to compete or get traffic. Us newbies are warned to avoid competitive markets. Well, I found that it wasn't hard to compete at all because there was so much demand that everybody got a piece of the pie. So not all advice is good advice. Most people fail at IM because they fear that can't succeed, and thus never really give it their all. Sometimes I think the warnings are meant to discourage.

This is an okay way to do it. The only flaw here is that it isn't targeted traffic. This is a great plan if you are contacting the right people. Your channel and video will rise in the search engine rankings on both YouTube and Google simply by comments, favorites, likes, etc. You can also get into the most commented videos as well with a simple contest.

No need to bribe. One of the channels I have I just asked people fav, like, embed etc. They all liked the content so it was fine.

    No need to over complicate.

I don't think this method is the best thing for most marketers to try, but if it is working for the OP then I do not know why so many people are being negative!

It may work for you, it may not. I have been marketing online for about 2 years, and in that time I have found that the only way to know whether something works or not is to test, test, and test some more.

I have heard of some methods working great for other people, and yet for some reason or another they did not work for my various websites. On the other hand, I have also made certain traffic generating methods work that most people claimed were outdated.

The point is that just because a method has not worked for you, does not mean that it will not work for the next person. While I probably will not follow this advice, I certainly appreciate Mike sharing his insights. That is what this forum is all about!
