When I upload mp4 to YouTube, it repeats video twice???

Hi Guys

This is really annoying, but when I upload a video to YouTube in Mp4 format, it looks great, but it makes the whole video twice as long due to the fact it repeats the video a 2nd time, but without sound.

This is really weird, has anybody come across this? Or know how to fix it? I could re-do them all in Avi or something, but that would be a pain.

    That's some weird stuff. What process are you going through before uploading them? What program are you recording them in and exporting them in?

    I have never had this problem with mp4 videos on youtube and I have uploaded a lot of them.

    Basically, I'm not even editing them. I'm just taking them from a Flip cam, then compressing them but staying with mp4 format, using the free software "anyconverter", the uploading to youtube.

    If I convert to avi, it wokrs fine, but mp4 is normally considered better. Oh well.

    Do you check the MP4s on your computer before uploading to YouTube?

    I ask because it sounds like it's an encoder problem, not a YouTube problem. I've uploaded 90 plus MP4s to Youtube and have never experienced anything like this - and i upload regularly, a new video every week.

    So I'm wondering if it's your 'encoder' program?

    Yeah, I've checked them there and they are fine. But, with that said, I will try using a different encoder as you never know, it could be that. Thanks for your help.

    i submite mp4's all the time but they never do this. might have to do with your flip cam? depending what kind of a video your uploading you should contact youtube
