Software Shopping Cart or Clickbank for my Product?

I am going to be finishing up a software project in the next little while, and I am trying to plan ahead. Since I have never sold a software product online, I want to make sure I have a secure download page, etc to prevent fraud and other issues.

What are my options here? I expect that I will be using clickbank to sell the product, but does clickbank also provide the delivery of the product? Or do I need to buy a separate shopping cart program to handle the downloads?

I was looking at DLGuard that looks pretty decent. Any other suggestions, or is Clickbank sufficient?

Overall, what do I need to have in place so that I can securely sell and deliver my software product?

    Some software sellers don't like Clickbank due to CB's extremely
    liberal refund policies. If you have a system that shuts down the
    software so refunders can't use it anymore, that may not be
    a problem for you.

    You can sell software with no refunds and in fact win most if
    not all PayPal disputes with refunders. With ClickBank you will
    never have a dispute found in your favor as the seller.

    If I were you I would use DLGuard or one of the other scripts
    with similar features to make an expiring download link, even
    if you use Clickbank to manage your affiliate program.

    Thanks for the great feedback. I figured that it was probably best to use something in addition to clickbank to deliver the software. DLGuard is really the only one I looked at, but it looks decent and probably has all the features that I would need.

    Anyone else have any good suggestions? Thanks again!
