McDonald's Arches Sign ups?

Curious -- I've been seeing a lot of opt-in pages/sign-up pages, etc -- essentially looking like something that reminds me of the McDonald's arches... did someone with a big list just do a major launch & give this away for free -- or has someone discovered that these are more effective conversion wise?

    WOW I like it! It is different than the typical ones I've seen and attracts attention because of the bright colors...and probably the fact that it makes your mouth water and eager to buy cause it does look like mickey d's!

    I think that particular graphic is actually pretty old. At least a year or more. I don't know the actual origin but I've seen it that long ago. Maybe longer.

    I prefer ginormous buttons. Massive ones. Green too. Gloss gradient. With white letters that have offset black bevel strokes to create 3d appearance,
