I'm doing a test using free hosting and they won't accept amazon's (the store) scripts to embed any links into my html. How can I get around this?.

I want to place Amazon on my site but can't so how?. Thanks.

My advice, although obvious, get yourself some damn hosting! Seriously though, if you are even semi-serious about earning any type of money online you are going to need to get your own hosting. It will make things much easier for you. If you are going to spend time putting up sites and adding content then you want to be sure you will not have them all pulled down one day.

And when people like Hostgator (whom I 100% recommend and have used for years) only charge something ridiculous like 8 bucks a month, you'd be silly not to.

I would have to agree with WillR. It is so cheap to get your self setup with your own server that there really is nothing to think about it. The last thing you want is to put all kinds of time and content into websites you are building just to have it on some service that can take it down in a matter of seconds.

Hostgator is a good hosting company, there is also Bluehost and Name.com even offers server packages. Shop around if you wish, but for simplicity and being able to be helped by other Marketers I recommend Hostgator.

Spending less than 10 dollars a month on your own hosting is definitely worth it. Once you get a server, you will love the speed and ease of setting up websites. There will not be things to stall your progress like this once your setup properly with your own server.

I've already got hosting with HG and IX but I'm doing a test using a free hosting company and want to run amazon on it for an experiment we're doing. It won't let javascript in so I want to know if anyone knows if there's a script that can over-ride it to let amazon code run that's all but thanks for your guys input.

Why don't you just use HTML links instead. Sounds like they aren't going to let you use anything else.

I'll second the recommendation for the HTML links. I do use the Amazon widgets on my sites but only in specific spots which I have determined to be beneficial for obtaining clicks.

The HTML links are proving to be more productive in the traditional spots where we promote products on our websites.
