How to ensure your JV partner pays you the money you're entitled to as agreed upon?

Hi guys,

Can I get him to sign a legal agreement which indicates the agreed upon sum of money I'd be paid? Would the agreement be legally enforceable, especially since we don't live in the same country? What if he goes back on his words and doesn't pay me? Can I sue him?

I would not suggest going into business with someone you do not trust. It sets up a bad relationship and when times get hard you may be pointing fingers
