New to Vendoring on Clickbank. Some help please?

Hi,

I am new to affiliate marketing and vendoring on Clickbank but not new to internet marketing.

I am wondering what are the best products to buy or places to go to learn how to have success on Clickbank.

Our product is $97 and we offer 60% affiliate commission. Is this a fair value?

I won't post our product on here unless someone asks, I'm not in the business of trying to use this post to sell our products but rather to learn how to do it myself.

Checkout this forum too - I love the Warrior Forum, but this place is very much more totally focused on Clickbank:
    ClickBank Forum

60% is ok for a $100 product... it just depends on so many factors but mainly on how well it converts.

To some people a product MUST have 75% commission, but this is a little short sighted imo - as long as it is a healthy return for an affiliate and it really converts solidly then 60% could be enough.

It's hard to give you feedback without seeing your product though, generally I would recommend you taking a look at the top 50 vendors on clickbank:

    Popular ClickBank Products

They won't all be perfect, but you can compare what people at the top have that you don't and what they share in common with each other... A clean sales page which actually CONVERTS is essential obviously.

However, also of crucial importance isyour affiliate materials page - make sure it is BIG; full of articles, banners, advice, keywords - a lot of the big vendors have affilaite pages / resource areas which are bigger than their actual product sales page..

Thanks I will be sure to check that out.

What did you mean by 'affiliates page'? I'm not sure exactly what that means.

A page where you basically try and sell affiliates on promoting your product. Many people include email autoresponders, free banners, ppc ads. The more material you have available to give to your affiliate, the easier it is for them to promote it.

yeah, a page with all the materials an affiliate would need to promote you on. Make it as easy as possible for people to promote you - provide everything as well as advice on what works and include conversion stats here too if you can.
        Here's ours: Subliminal MP3s Affiliate Program - 75% Commission!
Possibly on thats even more impressive (imo): AffiliateMaterial.com
(see what I mean about it being longer than the actual sales page...)

Creating the product and the sales page is only 10% of the work - the real dayjob comes in creating affiliate resources and recruiting affiliates

Make sure you have a lot of resources for affiliates. I tend to only promote the ones that have affiliate centers, and give you banners etc that you can use to bring more customers.

Ahh. So if I develop the lion share of the promotional products, then offer that to potential affiliates, how do I then get them to get their customers to the site?

I guess I just assumed that 60% commission is worth sending people to the site...

Are there any basics I should work on right away that would make it more attractive to affiliates?
