Best affiliate website!

So i've been doing a lot of changes to my affiliate webpages design after reading through different threads on this wonderful forum but now I've kind of confused myself on what the best approach for a affiliate website is?!

What do you guys do for your affiliate websites? Make it be just one page? Have multiple pages? Allow comments? Add Rss feeds?

I started with a clean one page sales page then moved onto adding a Book Review page, testimonial page, and even a contact us page. I'm starting to think all of this might just be overkill considering my job is just to get the customer to the affiliates page...

I'd like to hear your opinion on the best affiliate website design!

I would also be interested in hearing some ideas--how about if people post some links to what they think are the best affiliate websites. Doesn't have to be yours, just one you think is good and why--I'm a newbie so any information you give me will be gratefully appreciated.

What you are talking about is a pre-sales page. This is typically a landing page and most marketers will use it strictly as a funnel with PPC or some other type of traffic generation.

You could also make it an opt in page for an email list and market them over time.

As far as content goes it depends on how good the sales page is. You also need to take into consideration what keywords you may be targeting. That will determine a lot about which approach you should use.

For example, if people are searching for camera reviews, you don't want a pre-sales page that gives specs and brags about the camera. You would want detailed information with pros and cons about it slowly leading them to why they should get it.

Other examples might be just a short ad like page with a heading and subheading a few bullet points and maybe even a short video.
