Do you use your own copy of the sales page?

Let's say you want promote a product and you don't like the sales copy from the original page. What do you do? Do you design your own copy, and point the payment button to your affiliate payment link?

I use my own sales copy on my own products...

Is the sales copy perfect ? No
Is the sales copy amazing ? No
Is the sales copy catching prospects left and right ? No

Should I really spend some money on sales copy ? Yes
Can I afford the sales copy ? Yes / No depends upon who writes it
Will I get more sales if I paid for amazing sales copy ? Yes, probably so.

What is the point in this post ? No Idea .. Go with what works for you.. Test and Test, maybe get some sales copy help if you suck at it like I do.

I would recommend you check how the original sales letter converts and then see if you can improve the conversions with your own pre-sell sales copy.

I've found that the story-type presell page works great...

I had a problem (my life was bad) ---->I found a solution (my life is great---->Here is my solution (affiliate link)

This doesn't work in every niche, so test test test!

    Hope this helps...

This is actually a pretty widely practiced thing. Taking products you like and re-doing things liek the sales copy and such, I personally have never done it but if I didn't have the ability or knowledge to make my own products (quality products :-p) I would definately consider doing it.

Has anyone actually done this successfully?
