  • I've had good luck using statcounter.com. Not as detailed as Google Analytic s, but its free. I've always used the invisible counter option so I didn't get one of those 1990's era visitor counters on the bottom of my site.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats it's free, it's in real time so you get accurate information unlike Google A
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Check out Piwik. It's self-hosted rather than remote but based on what I've heard it provides almost the same functionality of GA with the important addition that you don't need to depend on one single service provider.

That said, I haven't tried it myself just yet - it's been in my ToDo list for months but so far I've stuck with GA.

    • In my opinion Google Analytics is the best available tool, and it is FREE too.
StatCounter, HitCouter, Webalizer etc does not match the quality and details provided by GA. Recent changes in GA have made it more useful and detailed.
  • Obviously, Google Analytics is the best tool to help us measure your advertising ROI.
  • I know GA is the best free tool in this area but for some reasons i decided to stop using it (for most of my sites).

Statcounter allows only 1 site per account ?
  • I successfully use gostats free analytics and website hit counter services. They offer both a free and a more extended paid version.
Further info you may get from

    G.
  • I also use StatCounter.com
The best thing with it is that, it is free and invisible. More than that, it is in real time updated.

    Thanks
    I.Richie
