Howdy

Today (having seen the Market Samurai discount offer) I almost bought MS, although I already own MNF and am totally happy with the keyword research results, I decided to investigate SEO option within MS which looks pretty cool.

So I saw the MS SEO panel and thought "well cool" but what else can these tools do..

So I looked at Traffic Travis and I thought "hey the SEO info provided by this thing is well usefull" (even in the free version - sometimes you can give away too much ). The keyword facility in the free TT also seems very concise and once again I can't fault the tool.

So I then look at SEO Spyglass and guess what..

Totally blown away by the SEO Spyglass output (probably the best of the lot in principle) and the keyword tool gives more info than the rest (though it allegedly looks at several hundred search engines so not surprising).

So the reason for this post (which is in no way to promote any product above) is this.

We all depend on some keyword tool or other(even just using the google keyword tool) for our research, and effectively our business depends on the results of whichever tool we use, yet because of the configuration of each of the tools mentioned above, they are all going to give massively different results so the question is ...

Which keyword tool do you use and does it give you the returns that you expect based on its output???

Again thanks for the great replies, it does seem that MS is definitely a favourite (though did any of you ever try MNF or one of the other tools (yeah am still on the fence ref buying MS having looked at the other tools - MS still looks really good) ) and am still waiting for Brad to throw in a pitch re his excellent toolset .

Main question really is - if all of these excellent tools give a totally different output, which one do we trust??

You trust all of them; you trust none of them.

You are absolutely right. All they can really do is make their best guest and return results based on that.

I work on the assumption that even if they aren't 100% accurate, they are relatively correct - when results are compared to one another within the same tool.

Pick one, try it, see if it gives you the results you want, if it does, stick with it.

      All the best,
      Michael

I've been testing out Market Samurai. I'm not yet convinced I need it, but I'll do a bit more testing. I guess I now know what to look for in Google's tools so I'm not sure if MS adds that much extra value.

I own MS, KE, TT and MNF and have to say only use MNF now

The other tools all do their job but I find MNF is much quicker and much better at organising data especially with the latest version.

With the other tools I think becuase of all the things they do there is a danger of over analysis paralysis, which often stops or at least slows you down from actually taking action and getting your pages/site up there.

So if I was told I could only have one keyword tool it would be MNF

Anyone can have their "most suitable" tools at one glance and thus, Market Samurai wouldn't be a perfect tool for you but it could be for us. MicroNicheFinder would be better for some and TrafficTravis' subscribers will say the same as well.

What matters most is how a tool perfectly fits your needs whether it be a paid Market Samurai version or just Google Adwords Keyword tool. I believe it's best to stick for only one tool that yields you most results.

So for me, Market Samurai gives the best fit in my outsourcing strategies and that's how I love it.

I definitely like MS. I have not tried MNF. However, MS has all you can need. Highly recommended.

Market Samurai is definitely king! You can watch their instructional videos on the blog if you want - they're all only about 5mins and will show you everything the tool can do
