Does anyone know how to set up automatic delivery of free reports? Please help

Right now I am making about $100 per day from one of my websites and I am NOT building a list. I know I know. But I'm starting today.

Here is what I wanted to do but have no idea how to do it. I am in the weight loss niche and have written a report to offer visitors.

I receive approximately 150 uniques per day and have a 60% bounce rate (btw is that normal?)

I am going to make a popup so when they leave the site it offers them my free report.

So my question is:

1. How do I make a pdf What software is required and where can i get it?
2. How do i set it up to email directly to them the pdf report after they opt in? I spent about 5 hours last night trying to figure it out but couldnt. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

BTW... i build my site with xsitepro and use aweber. Thanks guys

    For number 2, simplest thing would be to include the link to your .pdf in the first email you send them after they confirm, or you could put the link to it in your Welcome page. Either can easily be set up using AWeber.

    For .pdf creation, I use the full Adobe Acrobat. It is probably the best solution, but I know there are other, less expensive, programs that will convert docs to pdfs.

    Hi Jake..

    For a cheaper .PDF creation tool..

    Look for eWriterpro

    And you can send your .pdf's out as an attachment in your first Aweber follow up message, that way you can tell your subscribers that they have to confirm in order to get the report..

    What I've done in the past is create the report in ms word and then save it as a PDF file. This eliminates the need to purchase the expensive adobe software. then you can simply set it up in Aweber for immediate download after someone signs up.

    I have free reports that i give out to people who sign up for my list, basically its just an autoreply with a link to download the pdf's right from my server. they aren't big enough to cause bandwith use issues, and if they do become so, opefuly im making enough money to offset that

    1. Use www: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite for creating PDF's (Want a sample PODF created with Open Office? PM me). Free , fast and reliable

    2. Upload the pdf file (Let's say abc.pdf) to some folder within the public_html folder on your hosting account. (Lets say you create a new folder plkiuj2134)

    3. Send your first follow up email with this link in it...

    http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/plkiuj2134/abc.pdf

    That's it!

    You will be set to build a list of CUSTOMERS.

    You can also use CutePDF.com and they have a free PDF converter.

    Here's the best way to get the most mileage from your efforts.

    Have them opt in, they get the confirmation email, once they click on the confirmation email, you send them to a page with the download link.

    However, on the download page, add a special offer for your product or an affiliate product to get sales from there as well.

    Even if you get a few extra sales, it only took you a few minutes to set up.

        Openoffice Writer is my PDF converter of choice. After subscribers sign up, and confirm with double opt-in, you can make the thank you page your download page. Then put the PDF link directly on the download page. This works great since, like others have said, you can put other offers on the page, adsense ads, clickbank ads, whatever works best.
