How dangerous is it to have automated content on your blog?
I set up a separate section on my blog with WP-O'matic which gathers and posts the RSS feeds from about 5 other blogs. I have been getting some very good traffic from this. At the same time I am sending lots of traffic to the blogs whose RSS feeds I have been using.
Now I have heard multiple times (paraphrasing) that "if you are providing a service for your readers by offering other sites content", that it is cool with google... And I am absolutely doing that for my readers.
Still I'm a little worried that if I continue to expand this section, I might get hurt.
Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this...
PS For the record, the amount of automated posts to non automated posts on my site is about 230 (automated) to 400 (original).
