Anyone know that going rate for selling a site?

I'm wondering what the average going rate a website sells for. I heard you multiply your earning per 1 month by 6. And then I heard your earnings per 1 month multiplied by 12 months and this is the value.

Also, what is the best place to sell a website? Flippa?

The normal price a website sells for is usually the price someone is prepared to pay for it. Seriously though, there is no exact formula as to what a website will sell for. You may try and use a formula to come up with the price you think you should be asking for your website but that doesn't guarantee anyone will be at all interested in paying that price.

Auction it off and the people will tell you what your site is really worth. And yes, flippa is one of the better known sites for this.

    Best of luck!

While he is right, the "standard" I've always seen used is 10x's the monthly revenue. So if you are making $10/month, you sell it for $100.
