Affiliates Are Only As Successful As The Quality Of Their Referral.

Some people make money as an affiliate with seemingly little or no effort. Others find it almost impossible to make even one sale. As a new clickbank product owner (Non IM) I have received a number of emails basically asking the same question.

"How well does your sales page convert?"

I have also noticed than some affiliates do very well with my product while others never make any sales at all. They are all going to the same sales page so why would the result vary so much?

My initial theory is that they must be doing a better job of "pre-selling" to their prospects. By the time the buyer gets to my sales page they are closer to being ready to buy.

Any other ideas?

    Kenj,

No doubt young affiliates are blasting crap everywhere and sending junk traffic to your sales page. It's 100% true that if the affiliate has junk content, the visitor is probably going to think the same thing of your sales page.

It's the same theory as PPC really... I have several profitable PPC campaigns that didn't convert until I tweaked my presell page to be just right.

Almost the same HTR.. Same traffic.. But our sales increased by 2x after implementing a different story into our presell.

Internet users are actually getting smarter!!! (or affiliates are getting dumber? lol)

The answer lies in the presell and whether or not there is a relationship anywhere.

I know when I was a newb, I was finding it nearly impossible to sell things - had like a 1 and 200 conversion rate.

After I got a bit wiser, my conversion rates are a lot lower now.

I find that it helps a lot if you teach/educate first, then pitch second. Helps break down the trust barrier really well.

      Regards,
      Dan

Dan .. Becoming wiser has lead you to LOWER conversion rates! lol

"free report reveals how to be dumb and convert like crazy".. where the hell can I opt in?

    It's all about targeted traffic.

The ability of the sales page to convert is only part of the equation.

The other part is the affiliate's ability to get the RIGHT traffic to the sales page.

When I first put my product on the CB marketplace, I immediately had a lot of affiliates and almost all of them were making NO sales.

I know my product converts with my traffic so it's not the sales page.

But, as time went on things changed.

More successful affiliates started promoting it and now affiliate sales are skyrocketing!

That is exactly what I thought. I can see about 4 affiliates continually making good CTR's. They are obviously sending quality, well prepared leads to the sales page

Either that or the ones who are not making sales are simply
    not sending good targeted traffic.
